Um Brooke, Hilary dropped out of the race awhile ago! What a dumb ass! I am a Canadian and I even knew that. I was excited to hear that Timbaland will be doing Jay-Z’s entire next album. He recently told MTV that he will completely produce Jay’s follow-up to American Gangster, and… the new album will be a “monster!”
Timbaland scored a double win at the 21st Annual ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards last month taking two top prizes including Songwriter of the Year. The “Apologize” beatmaker, whose collabs with artists like Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and OneRepublic, was also honored for his work on rapper Fabolous’ song “Make Me Better.”
He was named Songwriter of the Year at the 25th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in April as well.
“Britney Spears is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album,” manager Larry Rudolph said Tuesday in a statement released by Jive Records.
“She’s working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters, and we’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far. No album release date has been confirmed yet.”
Nice to hear she is keeping busy. Not only has she done her television guest appearance work, she also filmed a video segment in Hollywood that is expected to be part of Madonna’s upcoming Sticky & Sweet tour.
Jessica Simpson will be launching a new perfume line called Fancy. I guess Jessica figured since her singing and movie career went downhill she would try something else to expand her empire. I am sure Jess will do wonderful as perfume lines seem to be all the rage these days.
