Rihanna has had a busy calendar this month showing up here there and everywhere. She was at two functions yesterday for the launch of the Tattoo Heart Collection at the Plaza Hotel, and also at the UNICEF Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in NYC.
She told People about the meaning of the new tattoo on her hand saying:
“It’s tribal. It represents strength and love. It hurt like hell!”
Tribal tats do as much for me as a mullet hairstyle… not my thang, although I’m loving her outfit.

Rihanna has partnered with UNICEF’s fight to save children worldwide and reduce the number of children dying from preventable causes from 25,000 to zero. It’s an organization that has saved more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization.
Says Caryl Stern, President and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF:
“We are thrilled to have Rihanna take part in the lighting ceremony in New York City. She has tremendous enthusiasm for helping those in need and is the ideal person for spreading the UNICEF Snowflake’s message of hope, peace, and compassion for children around the world.”
Rihanna flipped the switch to illuminate the magnificent UNICEF Snowflake, which acknowledges the beginning of the gift-giving season across the world. The celebration included treating the crowd to a live performance by Ne-Yo!

I don’t know about her. If I ever saw even one measley picture of myself where I looked as bad as she does in every picture I’ve seen of her over the last two years, I would check myself into rehab. Seriously and if I didn’t, my family or friends would call 911 on me.
She is in complete denial of how ill she is. How she can look at herself in the mirror each day and think “I’m lookin’ fine.” I realize that this is a cliche at this point, but honestly don’t know how she is still alive. She is just truly sad and pitiful. Someone help her.
She tried to visit her Blaaaaaake in rehab yesterday, but missed visiting hours. The Daily Mail says she got into a cab, drove for a short while, then turned around and left.
Hilary Duff is pictured (one of the best dressed of the night in my opinion) here adding her star power to help celebrate MTV’s TRL “Total Finale Live” at the MTV studios in Times Square this past Sunday in New York City. She looks amazing.
Hilary talked a little bit about “Reach Out,” featured on her greatest-hits LP, Best of Hilary Duff. “Reach Out” sounds very similar to the Depeche Mode song, ‘Personal Jesus.’ MTV caught up with her backstage after her performance and she had this to say to them:
“It’s different for me. It’s a little dancey, and there’s a rapper named Prophet who’s on it who’s really cool and kinda fresh.”
It was announced a few days ago that Hilary just signed a development deal for a TV series on NBC so expect to see more of her on a regular basis!
Miley Cyrus’s YouTube account was hacked earlier today, making this the second time she’s been hacked. The picture used here was from the first stunt.
With this latest hacking a new video was posted saying that she had been killed which makes it far more disturbing. It was up for awhile before finally being taken down. It managed to upset many of her young fans who had to search around to see if it was true, and then finding out it wasn’t and that she was alive.
The video description said:
“Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. She always told us if anything ever happened to her then tell her loyal fans first before the public. R.I.P Miley, we’ll never forget you!
The Gap had contemplated removing smiling portraits of Jennifer Hudson from their new holiday ads campaign after the tragedy of her losing 3 of her family members this past October 24th. The photos were taken this past July due to her hectic work schedule, but she insisted on going through with the campaign. The new print, store and billboard ads were revealed this past Thursday. The above photo is one of the images.
Olivia Doyne, director of engagement marketing and public relations for Gap, said Friday:
“We felt that it was really important first and foremost to respect what she wanted to do, so as long as she felt comfortable with her campaign being out there, we felt comfortable.”
The bodies of Jennifer’s 57-year-old mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson, were found in the family’s Chicago home. The body of her 7-year-old nephew Julian King — the son of Hudson’s sister Julia — was discovered three days later in a car on Chicago’s West Side.
No charges have been filed to date although a person of interest remains in jail on parole violations unrelated to the murders.
Demi Lovato who is one of Entertainment Weekly’s 2008’s Breakout Stars is seen her striking a pose. She along with Robert Pattinson, Russell Brand, Estelle, Tristan Wilds, and David Cook were among the others who made the list.
Demi told EW that acting is something she is passionate since it stimulates her mind. She’ll always have a love of :“Music comes naturally, but acting is a mind challenge and I have a huge passion for it.”
Demi will show us if she has what it takes to be an actress when the Disney channel airs the new series, Sonny With a Chance, sometime in February of 2009. She most definitely is a talented singer, and perhaps a little bit of an undiscovered and unexplored talent for acting.
She needs time and the right projects to challenge herself with, and find out what inspires her. I’m not sure that Sonny with a Chance or PPP are those projects, but they are stepping stones in the right direction!
Nicole Richie appeared with a group of celebs at the Alberta Ferretti Store grand opening yesterday in Los Angeles.
She and her boyfriend Joel Madden also attended H&M’s Divided Exclusive Collection Launch Party on Tuesday in West Hollywood.
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF just announced that Joel Madden, who is a UNICEF Ambassador, and Nicole Richie will be hosting UNICEF’s 2008 Beverly Hills Snowflake Lighting ceremony on Saturday, November 22. Joel and Nicole recently launched the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, a charity which provides funds and assistance to groups focused on improving pediatric health, education and human rights, in the U.S as well as overseas.
Suge Knight filed a lawsuit on September 12th in US Bankruptcy Court in L.A. His court documents claim that three years ago, Kanye had a pre-MTV VMA party at The Shore Club in Miami. It was at this party that not only was he shot in his upper leg, he also lost a 15-carat, $135,000 diamond stud earring and he wants to hold Kanye responsible because he allowed someone to smuggle a gun past the security.
Suge says because of his bullet injury he had to fly by private jet back from Miami, and wants to be compensated for the medical bill and: “for damages for the loss of use and enjoyment of the earring.”
Suge is bankrupt, but his attorneys have worked out some sort of deal with the Court which will let him have a percentage of any monies he collects from the suit!
Amy opened her door this morning nibbling on a piece of what looks like cheese toast or maybe lemon curd and did you notice? Gone is her beeutiful beehive. Instead, she’s rockin’ a curly ‘fro. She reminds me a bit of Ernie from Sesame Street, or Carla from the tv show Cheers.
Anyways…
She asked one of the paparazzi (who were all staked outside her house) if she could use their cell phone. Not sure why she did that, but then really, does anything she does make any sense? I think not.
After her quick call to whoever, she told the paps she was getting treatment for a rash on her stomach. Um… too much information.
Apparently she did not talk about her Blaaaaake. She hasn’t even gone to see him in rehab yet. Somehow though, I don’t think they allow family visits for the first little while so in all fairness, she may not be even allowed in… which is a good thing.
