Kelly’s 4th album, All I Ever Wanted has had an impressive debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 with 254,111 albums sold and #1 on the Digital Album Chart. This marks Kelly’s first #1 album since her debut in 2002.
That’s just a wee bit behind Clarkson’s last album, the troubled My December. It moved 291,000 in its first week back in June 2007. Her hit single “My Life Would Suck Without You,” makes her poised for a solid comeback.
Also debuting on the charts is the second album from songwriter/producer The-Dream, Love Vs. Money, which hit the #2 spot and racked up 151,000 in sales, beating out U2′s No Line on the Horizon.
In these tough economic times, it’s an encouragement for the music industry as the totals for the top three represent the first time this year that a trio of discs in the top 10 has passed the 100K-plus mark!
