Michelle Ryan has denied she was asked to play Jade Goody in a film of her life.

The Bionic Woman star said: "I haven’t been given an offer. People told me about it, yes, but it’s not something that I’ve been directly approached about.

"But I mean it’s sweet if that is what they would like me to do, but no, I haven’t been approached."

Michelle also said she won’t be going back to the soap EastEnders, despite rumours that Jessie Wallace, who played her mum in the show, is set to return.

Speaking on The Paul O’Grady Show, she said: "I had a great time doing it… I mean it’s nice to go into work and do stunts and play different characters.

"I mean something like EastEnders is a great foundation, it’s a great apprenticeship, but to go in and cry all the time… I don’t mind doing a little bit of that now, but it’s nice to go and do different things."
