Katie Holmes is heading to Australia to shoot a new horror film.
The actress will star in a big screen adaptation of Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark – a 1973 TV thriller about a family who move into a house filled with supernatural creatures.
The film is being produced by Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro and is set to start shooting this summer in Melbourne, according to Hollywood trade paper Variety.
The story centers on an eight-year-old girl who goes to live with her father and his new girlfriend, played by Holmes.
The girl discovers that there are devilish creatures living in the basement and struggles to convince the adults.
