A British ski helmet ad has been banned after the firm was accused of cashing in on Natasha Richardson’s death.

Natasha died in March, aged 46, after she sustained a head injury following a fatal fall while skiiing in Canada.

Carlisle-based Ski & Outdoor Warehouse reportedly sent their customers an email on the morning she died explaining how important helmets were.

But the British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has reportedly ruled the advert was distasteful and offensive and breached the rules on references to the dead, according to British newspaper the Daily Star.
