The singer recently filled a lawsuit against Universal Music Group claiming that the company owes her and Sonny Bono’s heirs over five million dollars. It seems that the company has not paid them royalties due for songs released on certain compilations and moreover they don’t even hold records that would prove exactly how much they owe Cher and Sonny Bono’s heirs. That probably doesn’t bother Cher too much considering that the sum for which Universal Music Group can be sued is very flexible under these conditions. Isn’t America such a wonderful place? You can sue anyone for anything and you even have good chances of getting your money… if you hire the right lawyers, that is.
