Harry Potter star Emma Watson has said she doesn’t want to "act again" until she finds a role as good as Hermione.
Emma, 19, has played the role of Hermione since for nine years and as she works on the final film in the series, she said she isn’t keen to act unless it’s the right part.
She said: "I want to forget all about hair and make-up. There isn’t a burning passion in me that I have to act and I don’t care what I do.
"Until something comes along that I feel as strongly about as I did Hermione, I don’t want to act again. I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity."
Emma has been working on the hit wizard films since she was 10 years old and she admits she probably grew up quicker than other children.
She said: "I’ve had a great time, and I’ve learned a lot of things. I probably grew up far quicker than most other children, though, and that goes for all the younger cast. I’ve been working essentially since I was 10 years old.
"It has all been amazing and I’m deeply grateful. But I’m still 19, so I want to do what a 19-year-old does."
Daniel Radcliffe reckons Twilight actor Robert Pattinson is sexier than him.
The Harry Potter star said he didn’t understand why women found him attractive and advised them to go for Pattinson instead.
He said: "It’s very kind of them but I don’t know. If girls like short and nerdy, then I’m a sex symbol.
"Rob Pattinson is a sex symbol. He’s a genuinely sexy guy – he’s got the height."
Radcliffe shot to fame when he won the role of Harry Potter in 2000. Now 19, he has swathes of female fans. But he said he didn’t like looking back over the earlier films.
He said: "For me to look back on the old films is an almost entirely destructive thing to do. I just torture myself over it. I mean, I was young.
"I can’t be held accountable for the performance I gave in the first two films – I was 11 and 12. I wasn’t like Dakota Fanning… who could seemingly just do it. It was very much a child’s performance."
He added: "Something happened at the age of 14. I started taking it more seriously, which meant I started having more fun."
The singer from the Black Eyed Peas recently admitted that she dyed her hair brown in order to ease her passing into adulthood. This was Fergie’s explanation: “I’ve always been blonde, but it’s a new time in my life. It felt like it was time to evolve.” Isn’t all of this just a very fancy and complicated way of hinting at the fact that grey hairs have started to appear and Fergie just wants to cover them up a little longer? Well, whatever the case, she can’t hide from “adulthood” for much longer… it’s eventually going to completely catch up with her.
The singer has recently been helping out with her future father-in-law’s restaurant which was left understaffed. A source said the following about Kylie Minogue’s new “hobby”: “Andres’ dad has been having great difficulty finding staff. Kylie is keen to get in with the in-laws so she volunteered to narrow down applicants. But it’s a family business and there are concerns she’s stepping on a few toes. On top of this, her interview technique is not exactly thorough and a lot of applicants are simply coming to stare at their idol.” It looks like Kylie Minogue is stepping a bit beyond her boundaries, but hey, this is all easier than just singing at the restaurant to draw in extra guests, isn’t it?
Brooke Shields is making a return to the movie world after signing up to appear in a new comedy called Furry Vengeance.
The 44-year-old actress, who hasn’t appeared in a mainstream movie for 10 years, will team up with Summit/Participant Media and star alongside Dick Van Dyke, Ken Jeong and Samantha Bee in the new film.
The story follows a real estate developer, played by Brendan Fraser, whose new housing plans are disturbed by a band of raccoons. Shields will reportedly play the wife of Fraser’s character.
Shield’s last mainstream film was drama Black and White in 1999.
Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz has revealed she is such a perfectionist professionally that it sometimes spills over into all areas of her life, including the personal side.
The actress confessed: "Every time I make a film, I feel like it’s my first time … I always think they could fire me.
"I’ve ruined my own happiness and created problems with my friends because of this tendency. It takes discipline for me to stop worrying.
"I have a tendency to become a mother to everyone around me. My brother and sister are always complaining that I’m too protective."
Cruz, who was formerly a girlfriend of Tom Cruise, is now dating Javier Bardem.
Of the fellow Spanish actor, she said: "He’s a wonderful man, a great actor."
Cruz said she could see children in her horizon – even though she doesn’t believe in marriage.
She added: "I want to have babies one day but not right now. When I do it, I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life.
"I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children."
Cruz’s latest films include Nine, Vicky Cristina Barcelona and G-Force, for which she provided the voice of Juarez.
Hollywood star Julia Roberts said she gets a "real sense of joy" from looking at her three children.
Roberts, 41, is married to cameraman Danny Moder and they have three children – twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, four, and Henry, two.
"When I look at my children I see a real sense of joy,” said the Duplicity star. “My husband is a very positive person, and I think I am too – so that’s the one thing I really admire in them that I think I might have passed along."
She also admitted that she is lucky her children are not fussy eaters and that it makes her proud to see them eating healthy foods.
"I’m lucky my children are really good eaters – I know mums who have a real battle with it,” she said. “But [my children] like to eat what we grow in out garden because they’re really proud of it.
"To watch them eating kale is a pretty proud moment for me!"
Winona Ryder may not be appearing in a sequel of Heathers after all as the film’s director has denied reports of another film.
Winona, 37, has often spoken about a sequel to the hit film, where she played murderess Veronica Sawyer, but director Michael Lehmann and writer Dan Waters are not planning another flick.
Lehmann said: "Winona brings it up every once in a while, and Dan Waters and I will joke about it, but as far as I know, there’s no script and no plans to do the sequel."
He added: "I never thought it made sense to see a sequel to a movie that took place in a specific time and specific place and in which many of the characters got killed off."
