Heather Locklear will be making a return to the remake of hit show Melrose Place, it has been confirmed.

Heather, 47, will be reprising her role as Amanda Woodward in the CW version of the hit show and she will make her debut appearance on November 17.

Executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer said in a statement: “We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place.

“Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

It is claimed Heather saw the pilot of the remade series, which stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, and “was surprised at how much she like[s] it”.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s upcoming wedding has shocked his former fiancee as she says he has always been a “commitment-phobe”.

Khloe, 25, had been dating NBA player Lamar, 29, for just 12 days before they announced their engagement. It has since been revealed that they will marry at the Bel Air home of music mogul Irving Azoff on September 27.

Lamar began dating ex-fiancee Liza Morales when they were both 17 and they have since had three children – Destiny, 11, Lamar Jr, seven, and Jayden, who tragically died of SIDS aged seven months in 2006.

They split two years ago but Liza spoke to E! News about the quickie wedding and said: “It’s just really, really shocking. Everybody, and I quote, ‘everybody’ is shocked by this.”

She also revealed that Lamar proposed to her eight years ago, but they never walked down the aisle, Liza said: “Lamar was always a commitment-phobe.”

She added: “I didn’t believe it because I got it in a text message so I thought it was a joke. I knew they were dating because like everybody else saw they were going all of these places they could be seen.

“So that’s how I found out they were dating.”

Liza lives in New York with their two children and although she said her daughter Destiny has met the reality star, her son “chose not to”. She also said that the family will not be making it to California for the wedding.

She added: “I would definitely say it is moving too fast. I think that marriage is a life commitment and it is not something you rush into. You can’t think about the wedding.

“You have to think about the marriage and what that consists of. This is not a fabulous pair of shoes, or a fabulous custom-made suit we are talking about. So I would definitely say he is acting on impulse.”

Australia’s Toni Collette has drawn lavish praise in her homeland after her upset win at the Emmys.

Collette, whose fashion choice brought morning television raves, does not feel her statuette is quite the right shape, however.

“She needs to lose weight. So heavy!” she deadpanned to a reporter. She also quickly downplayed the merits of having comediennes compete.

“I came and it was an honour but I don’t think there is competition in art,” she said of her win in the best comedy actress category that was widely thought to be a likely for Tina Fey.

Collette won for her brassy American character with a multiple personality disorder in the United States Of Tara.

Katie Holmes wrapped up her movie and her designer kit in Melbourne to return to the US with daughter Suri, 3.

Holmes flew out of Melbourne on husband Tom Cruise’s private jet after three months of filming and serious sightseeing around the cosmopolitan city.

While in the city, she was treated to the luxury penthouse accommodation of the Crown Casino. She and her family were the guests of James Packer, a scion of a local publishing magnate.

Holmes has already been glimpsed in Massachusetts with Connor Cruise and her husband, Tom. He will film Wichita in Boston while Holmes’s horror film Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark goes into post production. It is due to be released next year.

Actress Catherine Zeta Jones is going to have a quiet 40th birthday party.

The 39-year-old is planning to have a quiet party in New York to celebrate her birthday.

The Welsh star and husband Michael Douglas, 64, are both set to fly to the Big Apple to have a small gathering with friends and family.

A friend of the pair said: “Catherine’s not big into showbiz bashes, so it will be a quiet affair.”

Douglas and Jones both share the same birthday on September 25.

Actress Jennifer Aniston and TV talk show host Chelsea Handler both hate paparazzi.

Aniston recently appeared on Chelsea Lately, and the pair both agreed that they really dislike paparazzi.

The 40-year-old said: “It’s a horrible feeling, they ambush you.”

Before Jen appeared on the show, paparazzi had been waiting outside the Chelsea Lately studio for hours to photograph her on arrival.

On the other hand, the pair did agree that they both love vodka as it has no sugar and helps Jennifer keep her figure.

They took the stage with house band Wale at MTV’s VMAs show where front man Tyson Ritter debuted a new glittery look. After rocking the proverbial house, Ritter caught up with MTV news
and confirmed the long standing rumor that he will in fact be teaming up with pop powerhouse Rihanna for a yet to be recorded track. With AAR’s stock rising by the day, it only made sense for the quartet to cap their week by ringing the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange

Actress Jennifer Garner has steered tactfully away from a question that keeps dogging her.

Will she and her husband Ben Affleck ever work together again?

After brazenly fielding questions at the Toronto International Film Festival about her director in The Invention Of Lying, Ricky Gervais, Garner breezily broached the Ben question.

“The question keeps coming up, and we have literally never spoken about it. I think he’s a beautiful director obviously and such a gorgeous writer but, y’know, to go to work with him, I would just be like, I need to go home to the kids.”

The pair, who have two children together, worked together in 2003 on Daredevil.

Garner, 37, also said she took a year off after making The Invention but was guns firing to take on a challenge. She gave birth to her second child in January.

She added: “Definitely, the frequency with which I’ve worked is totally different because I went years without a single day off. So I have to really love [a role] to feel like it’s worth uprooting the family and putting us somewhere else.”
