Uma Thurman has said that she loves being a mum, but needs to get back to work before it kills her career.
The Hollywood star said that she has given up a string of roles over the last seven years because of her children, 11-year-old Maya and seven-year-old Levon.
“I am a mother, but I need to do what I’m good at doing,” Thurman said.
“I’ve been at home for a long time. If I don’t leave soon, I’m literally going to choke my career to death.”
Republican Tom DeLay who was paired with Cheryl Burke on Dancing With The Stars has suffered a foot injury.
“Old age is catching up to me, may have a stress fracture in my foot. No worries, it’ll take more than that to keep me off the dance floor!” he announced on his Twitter page.
Soon afterward he said the injury was not as severe as he thought. “No stress fracture! It is a pre-stress fracture. I live for another day,” he wrote.
Of their dance moves, Burke said: “We’re getting there. Slowly but surely. But at the end of the day, this is something completely out of his element and I think he’s such a brave man for going out in front of millions of people.
“You know, he’s not going to be the best dancer of the bunch. That’s for sure. But hopefully he’ll bring something new and different. Bring out his personality. Hopefully it’ll change what his image is all about.”
Eva Longoria Parker has revealed her husband refuses to watch her TV show, Desperate Housewives.
The actress said basketball star Tony Parker has no interest in the hit drama.
So he has NEVER watched the programme that shot her to fame.
But she said that she travels to see him play across the world.
She said: “He has never watched my show. And he watches [competitors] Lost, and he watches Gray’s Anatomy, and he watches Gossip Girl but he won’t watch my show.
“[He says] it’s not [his] thing. I’m like, ‘But Gossip Girl’s your thing?’ He’s so not interested.”
TV host Jimmy Kimmel told her: “That son of a bitch!”
Eva, 34, added: “I love sports. I love watching him play. It’s all about him.”
Kimmel joked that she should get him the Desperate Housewives DVD box set for Christmas.
She married San Antonio Spurs ace Tony, 27, in 2007.

Katie Holmes is about to head back to the US after completing her latest film in Australia.
Katie’s superstar husband Tom Cruise will fly into Melbourne by private jet this week after she completes work on Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark.
They will then fly out with daughter Suri, 3, and head back to Los Angeles.
A special party is expected to be held for Katie to be attended by co-stars Guy Pearce and nine-year-old Bailee Madison.
A spokesman for the horror movie said: “Katie’s role is coming to an end. All the principal photography has been done. There are one or two loose ends to tie up and then the movie will be in post production for a year.
“The crew are planning to have several wrap parties and Katie is likely to attend at least one with her co stars.”
Katie has been staying in the luxurious penthouse suite at the city’s Crown Towers hotel during her stay. Tom has also been to Melbourne several times. The couple have explored the city with Suri, including going to the zoo and various theatre shows.
Cameron Diaz pitched in for a 9/11 commemorative event with the Boston Celtics.
Diaz, and JR Giddens and Bill Walker of the Celtics, along with some 125 volunteers, planted flower beds around a Boston elementary school on September 11.
Volunteers built a basketball court, an outdoor classroom and a garden at the Young Achievers Science and Mathematics Pilot School in the Mattapan neighbourhood.
“She literally dug in and helped build some walled gardens at the school,” said Wyc Grousbeck of the Celtics. He had met Diaz in Las Vegas at the NBA All-Star Game in 2007.
He added: “She was hauling lumber, digging holes and hammering nails. She’s a really good person – not one of the phoneys.”
Diaz will start filming Wichita next week in Worcester with Tom Cruise. She brought along her assistants and personal trainer in a Prius to the event, which was sponsored by the Celtics, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and City Year.
Diaz is a volunteer with a City Year-like organisation in Los Angeles, which is how she became involved.
Ellen DeGeneres fans love the dance-over segment of her show. Record companies don’t.
Large record companies are suing The Ellen DeGeneres Show claiming producers are breaching copyright by playing more than 1,000 songs without permission.
DeGeneres does the nerdy dance routine up and down the stairs between her audience’s seating rows on every show to upbeat numbers such as those by Stevie Wonder.
Defendants in the suit were said to reply to the question of why they didn’t get licences to use the songs, that they didn’t “roll that way”.
The representatives of recording companies in the lawsuit filed in the US District Court in Nashville said: “As sophisticated consumers of music, [the] Defendants knew full well that, regardless of the way they rolled, under the Copyright Act, and under state law for the pre-1972 recordings, they needed a licence to use the sound recordings lawfully.”
The suit claims the daytime talk show has used copyrighted music without permission since its inception, including “recordings by virtually every major current artist of popular music”.
Plaintiffs include Arista Music, Atlantic Recording Corp, Capitol Records, Motown Record Company, Sony Music Entertainment, Virgin Records America and Warner Bros Records.
