Former Heroes star Kristen Bell has said her “inner thighs are so sore” as she rehearses before the start of shooting on new movie Burlesque.

Kristen, 29, whose new movie Couples Retreat was recently released, is preparing to star in the movie that sees her and singer Christina Aguilera as rivals at a burlesque club run by a former dancer, played by Cher.

She said: “I’ve started dance rehearsals, and my neck is sore and my inner thighs are so sore.”

Kristen also spoke about her role in the movie: “My character is fun and sexy but not a stripper. There is no nudity, and there are no pasties and G-strings.”

She added: “It’s very artistic burlesque. Burlesque is a tease. It’s not meant to really give that much away because that wouldn’t be considered a tease. It would be considered giving away the goods.”

Kristen could also end up singing with Christina, 28, but this isn’t a prospect that the actress is happy about.

She said: “There’s a competition between the two of us. I really want to sing and she’s allowed to sing at the club so we fight… In the end when all is well, they may sing together.

“I almost wish they wouldn’t, because I would rather just listen to Christina.”

After wrapping up her scene for the new “Sex and the City” movie, Liza Minnelli gave a very heartfelt performance for the cast and crew that brought them to tears. Perez Hilton related the following on the matter: “After the shoot, Liza said, ‘I would like to have everyone’s attention,’ and they pulled out a stool for her at the piano and gave her a mic and she sang a favorite of her mother, Judy Garland. Then she said, ‘Thank you for letting me play with you guys.’ It was so heartfelt and genuine. I got choked up and several people were sobbing like a baby, but I’m not going to name names!” It looks like Liza Minnelli has still got it… either that or the estrogen-enriched atmosphere at the shoot was to blame. Guess we will never know.

Salma Hayek says she uses disguises to go shopping unnoticed.

The busty Bandidas beauty, 43, appeared on US TV last night with US host Jimmy Kimmell.

She told him how she was recently left high and dry by a party planner just days before her daughter Valentina’s second birthday – and had to go incognito to prepare for the birthday bash.

“Children’s birthdays are a big production now and we had invited between 65 to 70 people,” Hayek said.

“I was terrified so I hired somebody to plan it for me, but she quit two days before the party.

“She left me with nothing and the worst part was that I told Valentina that Barney was coming and she was so excited.

“I decided I was going to take charge and do it myself . . . so I went downtown in disguise to buy piñatas.”

The ploy worked and nobody noticed the Hollywood actress roaming through shops.

“I’m not going to tell you what the disguise was because then when they see me they’ll know,” she said.

“But I was there for two days for hours and nobody recognised me.”

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto saved a fan’s life when she fell into the path of an oncoming car.

The actress, 25, was reportedly shopping in London with boyfriend and Slumdog co-star Dev Patel, 19, when the fan reportedly ran to greet her.

But, Pinto, who was being followed by photographers, did not see the woman and turned around, accidentally knocking the fan into the middle of a busy road.

An onlooker said: “As Freida turned around, she bumped into the fan because she didn’t see her.”

Pinto then ran into the middle of the road and helped the woman out of harm’s way, according to reports.

The source added: “Afterwards, Freida made sure the woman was OK. It was quite a shock for everyone.”

Neither Pinto or the fan were hurt during the incident.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford is keeping an eye on her famous mole – after concerns that it could become cancerous.

Crawford, 43, has revealed that her famous beauty spot has grown since the 1980s and that she regularly has it checked.

Doctors advise people to monitor moles that have changed colour or shape, in case they turn cancerous.

Crawford said: “It’s not something I really like to talk about. But I do now get this [mole] and all my moles checked out every year as a matter of course. Of course, it should be an issue we all have to take seriously.”

She added: “I keep very healthy otherwise. I exercise regularly and eat well. I don’t smoke and I drink only occasionally, like tonight, when I may have a glass of champagne.”

Crawford was speaking at the London launch party for Omega watches.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is heading to Tanzania for a charity project organised by the UK’s first lady Sarah Brown.

Naomi, 39, is an ambassador for Sarah’s White Ribbon Alliance charity, which raises the awareness of infant mortality.

Sarah, the wife of UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, is patron of the charity and Naomi is planning to visit orphanages and raise money by auctioning off her entire Hermes bag collection.

A pal said: “Naomi has found peace in her life.”

Naomi is dating Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin and has reportedly said that she would love to “be a mum”.

The pal added: “I wouldn’t be surprised to hear the sound of tiny feet very soon.”

Actress Rosamund Pike said it was “scary” but “life-changing” being a Bond girl.

Rosamund, 30, appeared as fencing champion Miranda Frost in the Bond film Die Another Day and she said she was “proud” to be involved in one of the films.

She said: “Being a Bond girl was scary, wonderful and life-changing. I felt completely out of my depth doing Die Another Day.

“I was quaking in my boots on that set.

“Looking back, I’m incredibly proud to have been a Bond girl. But I think it made other people scared of me.

“Unwittingly I created this image for myself of someone who was supremely confident and completely unapproachable, even quite unpleasant. But that was the character, not me.”

Katie Holmes put her daughter Suri, 3, in a pair of red ballet-style flats to run around a race track in Boston.

Holmes, who ran the New York marathon last year, appeared to be in training as she hit the track in her jogging gear. The actress has been spotted countless times running with her husband Tom Cruise in Melbourne and Boston of late. Cruise’s teenage son, Connor, accompanied the pair on one of the health-conscious outings.

Cruise, meanwhile, is working on his brand new movie, Wichita, which co-stars Cameron Diaz.

Suri is said to be enrolled at a Catholic pre-school in Boston in what was reported as a victory for her mother over Cruise’s ardent Scientology beliefs.

The tiny girl was typically irresistible as she tried to ape her mother, running in a dress in the track’s red lanes.

In an interview this week, Katie revealed Suri is so comfortable being in the limelight that she almost crawled on stage during a performance of her Broadway show.

The cheeky youngster made her daring move last year while Katie starred in the Arthur Miller play, All My Sons.

Holmes says her daughter was always with her backstage at the theatre.

She told the U.S. edition of Elle magazine: ‘Suri would sit in my lap in the make-up chair. She’d hand the wig lady the bobby pins.’

She also admits that she loves being a mother saying: ‘In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family.

‘I do what I need to do, but it’s like: “How is everybody else doing?”‘

Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz has reportedly recorded a cameo appearance for the upcoming Sex and the City sequel.

The 35-year-old actress has filmed a cameo playing herself on the red carpet, according to reports.

Penelope isn’t the only big name starring in the movie as teen star Miley Cyrus and performer Liza Minnelli are also said to be making an appearance in the upcoming film.

Reports said that Beyonce was also going to star, however it has since been claimed that she will be singing in the movie and not appearing.
