The domestic bliss of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has inspired a gingerbread-like house in Oklahoma named The Brangelina.
The 4000-square-feet $500,000 house, built near Pitt’s birthplace in Oklahoma City, also features a sculpture titled Brangelina Forever.
The house was designed by a Los Angeles artist known as Xvala. The Brangelina Forever sculpture is a life-size cast of Brad and Angelina in an embrace and is said to contain crushed glass from wine glasses they drank from on their first meeting on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.
The sculpture will be worked into the ceiling of the novel house’s master bedroom.
The Brangelina is also stencilled with words that represent both Pitt and Jolie, including quotes from Jolie’s tattoos.
The house is for sale with the proviso that the owner must offer honorary ownership to Pitt and Jolie and put them up every time they come to town to visit Pitt’s grandmother.
The statue and the house are part of a documentary titled Domestic Bliss: The Daniel Edwards/XVALA Project by Oklahoma filmmaker Dave Smith.
Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Dame Judi Dench turned out in London to the premiere of their dazzling new musical film Nine.
Kate Hudson, who has already whipped up a frenzy of acclaim with a dance sequence in the flick, was also on hand in her evening finery for a first-class red-carpet walk.
She said of working on the film: “It was incredible, it was an amazing experience. It was a learning experience, you got to watch people and see how everybody attacks it and we were all very supportive of each other because it’s all singing and dancing and things we hadn’t really done. It was really fun.”
Co-star Daniel Day-Lewis told reporters at Leicester Square: “We started in the same place, one of abject humility and dread, I think. [But director] Rob Marshall manages to create an atmosphere that is so joyful and vibrant and at least kid you into believing that you have it in you to do it.”
Nine, directed by Rob Marshall, is based on a Federico Fellini film, 8 1/2.
Newlyweds Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom showed the honeymoon period is over as they have an alleged public bust-up, according to US reports.
The 25-year-old reality star married LA Lakers player Odom, 30, in September and just 10 weeks on, they were spotted arguing at an LA restaurant.
The incident reportedly happened at the Philippe Chow restaurant in LA and an onlooker said: “Lamar caused a huge scene. He got jealous because Khloe was texting at the table and he yelled at her to quit it.
“She refused, so he stormed off and sat alone at the bar. Khloe just ignored him. He went and sat at the bar and watched TV by himself.
“Khloe was with her best friend [Malika Hagg] and the poor girl was totally stuck in the middle.
“She was running back and forth between the bar and the table trying to make peace, but Lamar kept just staying: ‘I’m not talking to her. Let her talk to her phone. She can be alone with her phone.’”
The onlooker added: “It was bad. Finally, he stomped back over to the table and grabbed the keys and left a couple of hundreds on the table. Khloe just turned her back to him so he walked out the front door.”
It reportedly looked as if the NBA star had left but he then pulled in to the front of the restaurant and the girls jumped in.
The Lovely Bones star Susan Sarandon said she ‘constantly’ embarrasses her children.
The 63-year-old plays the role of Grandma Lynn in Peter Jackson’s new movie.
Sarandon is married to actor Tim Robbins, 51, and they have two sons Jack Henry, 20, and Miles, 17. She also has a 24-year-old daughter, Eva, from a previous relationship.
Asked if she and hubby Tim embarrass their kids, she told UK magazine Psychologies: “Constantly. I’ve given up being defensive about it. If you’re breathing, you’re an embarrassment.
“I haven’t done any naked scenes [for a long time]. They’ll point out something I did earlier and ask, ‘Did it never occur to you that you might have a child?’
“I say, ‘No, it didn’t’. But I accept them, they have to learn to accept me.”
Actress Sara Rue will become a celebrity spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, starting in January.
Rue, 30, will undertake to lose almost 14kg. She said: “Losing this weight goes beyond just what it will mean physically. It’s about establishing emotional stability in my life. My weight has been on a roller-coaster since I was a young girl, but I’m committed to gaining control of this aspect of my life.”
The actress, who has appeared in Pearl Harbor and most recently on TV’s Eastwick, said: “My hope is that my story may inspire other women who are facing similar battles to seek help and take control. Through a new-found commitment, my family’s support and the one-on-one personal consultant from Jenny Craig, I’m confident that I will be able to get off this roller-coaster once and for all.”
Jenny Craig’s chief executive, Patti Larchet, said: “We’re very excited to have Sara join the Jenny Craig family. She has embraced our program wholeheartedly and is very optimistic about this new challenge in her life. Sara will relate to women and men from all walks of life that have struggled with their weight and are now looking to get healthier.”
Scream star Neve Campbell has said it’s going to be ‘great fun’ to film a fourth movie in the horror franchise.
The 36-year-old actress has played the lead role of Sidney Prescott in the first three Scream movies and will reprise her role for the fourth flick, which begins filming next year.
She told UK newspaper the Daily Record: “It’s going to be great fun, a bit like going back to summer camp. It’s been a long time and I think that’s a good thing because there has been enough of a break for people to be nostalgic and it seems like people are getting excited already.
“That’s one of the reasons I decided to do it, because recently I just realised that it’s almost 10 years since Scream 3. Now that’s scary.”
Hollywood actress Natalie Portman has said that she finally feels like she has grown up.
The 28-year-old is starring opposite Tobey Maguire in the new movie Brothers, and in the flick, she plays a wife and mother who is coping with the loss of her military husband by bonding with his brother.
She said: “I feel like I’m coming into my womanhood, and I’m less afraid or maybe I’m just getting old.
“I think about having kids, but I think you can’t plan for that sort of thing. It’s not like you can work at it.”
Talking about sending her own kids to war, she said: “I could not do it myself. But, I also think that in the world we live in, in certain countries, you can’t not have an army.
“Obviously, I’m referring specifically to Israel. I think if Israel didn’t have an army, it wouldn’t exist.
“That’s a hypothesis I really wouldn’t want to test, like the Israelis going: ‘OK, let’s just try it out and not have an army and see what happens.’”
Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker has said that her husband Matthew Broderick is “better than her at everything”.
Asked if they fight about who is the better actor, she said to UK magazine OK!: “There’s no question – he is. He’s better at everything. He’s much more comfortable in a traditional social environment like a bar and I’ve never been someone that understood a bar. I don’t really drink.”
Parker has been criticised in the media for the way she looks but she said she has dealt with the criticism.
She said: “I’m not an idiot – I understood there was a standard of beauty and that I didn’t fit into it.
“But I’ve always thought of myself as an actor who is on a journey and part of that journey is finding good work, regardless of my appearance. Now I’ve surrounded myself with people who support me the way I am.”
