Alice In Wonderland star Helena Bonham Carter has said she isn’t sure why people think she is posh.
The 43-year-old actress, who is married to filmmaker Tim Burton, insists she isn’t posh, despite being the great-granddaughter of the former prime minister Herbert Asquith.
She said: “Everyone thinks I’m posh but that’s shallow thinking and the biggest lie.
“They only think that because I’ve got three names – but that doesn’t make you posh.”
The actress is playing the role of the Red Queen in her hubby’s new movie, which has its world premiere later this month.
