Avatar actress Zoe Saldana is reportedly being lined up for a role as an assassin in new movie Columbiana.
The 31-year-old star, who played Neytiri in Avatar, is said to be in talks for a role in a new Luc Besson-produced movie. The flick is scheduled to start shooting in the summer, with Olivier Megaton directing.
The film has been written by Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and will be set in Latin America and the US, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Saldana will reportedly play the role of a young woman who grows up as an assassin after witnessing her parents’ murder when she was young.
She works for her uncle as a hitman and hopes to one day avenge her parents’ death and find their murderer.
