New court papers have revealed that Sandra Bullock is officially single.
The Oscar-winning actress was granted a divorce from her cheating husband Jesse James at 9.02am on Monday (June 28).
The official paperwork from Travis County, Texas, refers to the former husband and wife by initials alone.
“It is ordered and decreed that B.A.S., Petitioner, and J.J.G., Respondent, are divorced and that the marriage between them is dissolved,” their final decree states.
Bullock filed for divorce from James on April 23 this year after US tabloids exposed a string of affairs he allegedly had behind her back.
The couple then began drawing up their ‘Agreed Final Decree’ which was filed at Travis County Court.
The newly released paperwork reveals that James, 41, previously appeared in person at court and “announced that the parties had reached an agreement”.
No further details about the reason for the couple’s split are given.
In the original divorce petition Bullock said the marriage had become “insupportable” due to “discord or conflict of personalities that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship”.
Shortly before their split, Bullock and James secretly adopted a baby boy from New Orleans, named Louis.
The final divorce decree states that they do not have any children under 18 or otherwise entitled to support. “And none is expected,” the document adds.
The official split paves the way for Bullock, 45, to go ahead with her plans to adopt Louis as a single parent.
The final decree document does not give any details about how Bullock and James plan to split their property and earnings.
The couple have also filled out a document called a ‘Partition Agreement Incident To Divorce’, but this has not been filed at court.
“Petitioner and Respondent have applied their individual standards of reasonableness and acceptability,” the decree states.
“The conclusions they have reached are based in part on their respect and regard for each other.”
