Holly Madison was ‘freak’ when she was 17
Former Playboy star Holly Madison has said she used to be a ‘freak’ when she was 17.
The 30-year-old, who now has her own E! reality show, grew up in Astoria, Oregon, and said she was not a popular kid.
During the latest episode of TV show When I Was 17, she said: “Other people would describe me when I was 17 as, like, a freak or aloof.
“I was always, like, white makeup, black lipstick. Like, I wasn’t particularly hot in high school, but I guess nobody was where I was from.”
Madison recalled a bad experience she had on her school prom night when she found out her boyfriend had been cheating on her.
She said: “I went with my boyfriend, who was a couple years older than me. By the time we got to the prom, all my friends kind of split up [from dinner], and sadly my most memorable moment of my prom was finding out my boyfriend had cheated on me with this potato-headed girl.
“I was so angry. I drove him home, dropped him off, broke up with him. And that was that.”

Julia Roberts: I gained weight filming new movie
Eat, Pray, Love star Julia Roberts has revealed that she gained 10 pounds while shooting the flick.
Roberts, 42, plays Elizabeth Gilbert, a woman who travels the world on a journey of self-discovery following a painful divorce.
One of the destinations her character visits in the film is Italy, where she eats a lot of food.
When asked if she gained weight after filming on location in Italy, Roberts told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “You know, we talked about that because I didn’t want people to say, ‘Well, she’s supposed to go to Italy and eat all this food, but she looks the same in the whole thing’.
“So I talked to [director] Ryan [Murphy] about it.”
The Pretty Woman star added: “And he said, ‘By the time Liz got to Italy, she was so underweight that the weight she put on really got her back to normal and then a little bit more’.
“It wasn’t like she [became] a tub, so because I started at normal weight for me, by the time we left Rome and I was seven to 10 pounds heavier, that was probably the truth of what she was dealing with.”
She also revealed that while she was filming in Naples, Italy, she ate copious amounts of pizza.
She said: “When we were in Naples, we started shooting at 8am in the morning, and I think by 8.45 I’d eaten eight or 10 pieces of pizza.”

Sharon Osborne: Mel Gibson should admit hes an alcoholic
Reality star Sharon Osborne has said Mel Gibson should admit he is an alcoholic.
Osborne had some words of advice for the troubled actor when she attended the CBS, Showtime and CW Summer Television Critics Association Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday.
The 57-year-old wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne told US entertainment TV show Extra what she would say to the Braveheart star if she had the chance.
She said: “[I'd say] ‘Why don’t you admit you’re an alcoholic?
“Just let me take you by the hand and put you in rehab.’”
Osbourne attended the party to promote her new CBS daytime talk show and revealed that she would like Hillary Clinton to be her first guest.

Wisteria Lane beckons ‘saucy’ Betty White
Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry would “love” for Betty White to find her way to Wisteria Lane.
“I adore Betty,” he said. “She’s so astounding. I would love to have her do the show. She works harder than any of us.”
But getting the 88-year-old on to the show is no easy matter, he said. “She is constantly employed. I’m trying to just see if I can get her for dinner. It’s so hard to book her!”
Cherry, who has history with the veteran actress, having worked as a writer and producer on The Golden Girls, told People: “She’s a saucy, sexy gal and she’s a blast. It’s something that would make my heart very happy.”

Brangelina to live La Dolce Vita?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly splashed out and bought a stunning villa in the Italian countryside.
The Hollywood power couple are said to be the new owners of the property that boasts 15 bedrooms, a home cinema, two swimming pools, a gym and several jacuzzis.
“Mr Pitt and Ms Jolie saw it for 10 minutes and they said yes,” property consultant Alexander Proto told E Online. “They were very determined. We are very pleased have worked with them … no problems, very nice, very competent, ideal customers,”
There are reports the parents of six paid somewhere in the vicinity of $40 million for the estate, but Proto reputedly would not confirm the price.
Jolie clearly revelled in filming The Tourist in Venice earlier this year, with Pitt and the kids joining her in the city of canals. They stayed in a 15th-century palazzo and were often spotted out and about, either on the water or with gelatos in hand.
Jolie and Pitt already own a château in the south of France said to be worth $60 million.

Madonna is not even close to retiring, on the contrary, the artist is planning an impressive tour for next autumn, announced The Mirror. It seems that Madonna is not tired after her recent “Sticky and Sweet” tour. In spite of the rumors saying that Madonna will take a two year break, she is already preparing for her next tour. The new tour does not have a name yet, but it is part of the contract Madonna signed with Live Nation, and it is expected to generate a 100 million dollar income.
Christina Milian Wants Divorce Papers Changed
While it has been proven that The Dream told the truth about being separated from wife Christina Milian for a long time, as divorce papers were filed in February, Christina is still pretty pissed. The singer is claiming that the rapper/producer lied about the status of their marriage and failed to mention that he was cheating on her. In Christina’s legal response, she alleged that the marriage wasn’t over when he filed the documents as they had “marital relations on numerous occasions”. She also added that if the divorce is granted, it should not be on the basis of The Dream’s claim that their marriage was broken but because he cheated on her. The worst part is that Christina admitted to signing a settlement agreement were both parties waived alimony rights to the other’s property. She alleges that she signed it because The Dream brought the papers when she was 9 months pregnant and in no condition to sign.
Kathy Hilton ‘has sympathy’ for Dina Lohan
Paris Hilton’s mum sympathises with Dina Lohan, as she knows what it’s like to have a daughter in prison.
Lindsay Lohan, 24, is serving a 90-day sentence in the same Californian prison that Paris Hilton, 28, was locked up in three years ago.
Paris’s mum Kathy told RadarOnline.com: “I have sympathy for Dina Lohan right now. I feel bad for any parent whose child is in jail, it can be really tough.
“Those days when Paris was in jail were some of the most difficult of my life – it is hard for any parent to deal with. Unfortunately, if you do not follow the rules then this is what can happen – it’s part of the rules of our society.”
She added: “I think Lindsay will learn from this experience. To be in a small cage like that by yourself certainly gives you time to think about things. And for the parent on the outside it is very hard, too.”

Christina Hendricks named as ‘fabulous’ role model
Mad Men star Christina Hendricks has been named as an ‘absolutely fabulous’ role model for young girls by a UK equalities minister.
The US actress is a size 14 and is best known for her role as voluptuous secretary Joan Harris in the TV series.
Lynne Featherstone, Britain’s Equalities Minister, recently criticised the ‘overexposure’ of skinnier models and said it was causing problems with the confidence of young people.
Speaking about role models for young people, she said: “Christina Hendricks is absolutely fabulous. We need more of these role models. There is such a sensation where there is a curvy role model. It shouldn’t be so unusual.”
Hendricks’ mother Jackie Stept was told about the MP’s comments and said it was ‘lovely’ to hear.

New Spice Girls Movie
Emma Bunton recently revealed that a new Spice Girls movie is coming out way. The film will be formatted similar to the hit ‘Mamma Mia!’ using the band’s songs as a soundtrack and is set to hit the silver screens in 2011. It will be produced by the same team who the group of singers signed with for the West End musical ‘Viva Forever’. Do people really believe that they’re still as relevant now as they were back then to merit another movie? What will this one be about? They can’t even get the girls to reunite to talk about making new music or going out on tour again. I doubt they can do so for a movie.
