Glasgow’s own Brad Pitt had to flee from fans after he was mistaken for the actor. Jonathan Lambie, 39, was in George Square, Glasgow, when some of the actor’s fans started taking photos of him. He said to UK newspaper Daily Record: “I got uncomfortable when folk began to stare at me, then started snapping me as I walked along. It was getting very embarrassing, so I turned around again and disappeared.” Lambie is a case officer for a financial firm in Glasgow but said he has been asked to open venues such as supermarkets in the past. He added: “Mind you, if Brad contacted me and said: ‘Let’s go out on the town together for a night for a giggle’ then I might be up for it.”
Angelina Jolie plans to cross the Sahara on camel with her kids and Brad Pitt. The Hollywood star said she has her eye on North Africa for the next family holiday. “[We want to] cross the Sahara. It takes 28 days. It would have to be on a camel. I wonder if I could do it in pieces and station the kids along the way,” she said. Jolie, 36, who has six kids with partner Pitt, including three adopted from overseas, said she encourages them to visit their homelands. She said in a newspaper interview: “They are all learning about each other’s cultures as well as being proud of their own. So it’s not like just the boys get to do the Asian thing. “They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride. “We owe Vietnam a visit, because Pax is due. Z [Zahara] wants to get back to Africa, and Shiloh too. So everyone takes their turns in their country.” Eldest son Maddox, almost 10, was adopted in 2002 from Cambodia, while Zahara, six, was born in Ethiopia. Shiloh, five, the couple’s first biological child, was born in Namibia. And Pax, adopted four years ago, was born in Vietnam. Then the actress gave birth in France to twins Knox and Vivienne three years ago.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly on the look-out for a super nanny to help care for their brood of six. According to The Sun, the couple have high expectations and want applicants to have a degree in education or child development and to speak two languages, including the native tongue of the child they will care for. Kids Maddox, Pax, Zaharah, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne all have a carer each so it is not clear who the new nanny is for. A salary of up to $150,000 (£90,000) is available for the successful candidate, but they must be prepared to travel the globe with the family. A source told The Sun, “It’s a coveted position. Brad and Angelina’s requirements are justified – they only want the best for their kids. “The pay packet and lifestyle make it a pretty amazing deal. “Not only have Brad and Angelina got to be able to trust the nanny completely with the kids but the new carer must also respect the family’s privacy.”
The Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp love-in has continued with Jolie once again gushing about her new friend’s talents. The pair and their respective partners Brad Pitt and Vanessa Paradis became pals whilst starring in The Tourist. Jolie told Australian DJ Kyle Sandiland that Depp behaves like a man from another era. “Depp is one of those artists that feels like he’s from another time,” she explained. “He’s an extraordinary painter, he’s a great musician, he’s a great actor – he’s a renaissance man in the greatest wayAnd he is one of the most real people you will ever meet.”
Actress Angelina Jolie said she would ‘love to’ work with Brad Pitt again in the future.
The 35-year-old star met the actor on set of the 2005 movie Mr and Mrs Smith, in which they played a warring couple.
Jolie admitted she would like to star in another movie with her partner, but so far they haven’t found the right script.
She said to Vanity Fair magazine: “I’d love to [work with him again]. We’ve talked about it. We’d have to figure out who’s going to watch the kids, but it’s really about finding the right thing, because we’ve looked.
“When you’re a couple, there are certain things people don’t want to see you do.”
Asked about a Mr and Mrs Smith sequel, she said: “People have tried. And it’s strange: we do have kids in the movie? We’ve thought about that, but it becomes personal now that we actually have kids.
“And if we work on it, we pull from our own life, which is funny to us, but you feel strange sharing too much.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly revealed their first designs for a new high-end jewellery line.
The A-list stars have developed the serpent-themed Protector Collection for British jewellery firm Asprey.
All net proceeds will be donated to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
A set of 18-carat white gold cufflinks encrusted with elegant black diamonds and emerald snake eyes will be the first piece to go on sale, priced at $10,000.
A spokesperson for Asprey said: "During Angelina’s first pregnancy she was given a snake ring, to guard her and her unborn child.
"She has subsequently given birth to Shiloh and her twins, Vivienne and Knox, and the symbol has become endowed with great personal importance as a family guardian.”
The snake motif is also featured in a series of pendants, bracelets, rings, a children’s tooth box and a silver egg cup.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have spoken of their devastation at the earthquake in Haiti.
The Hollywood couple have previously visited the troubled country with Fugees star Wyclef Jean – and immediately reached out to him to offer their help in his aid efforts for his homeland.
“We are devastated by the news from Haiti,” Pitt and Jolie said in a joint statement. “We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter.”
Jean has long been an outspoken campaigner for help for Haiti and immediately rushed into action at news of the earthquake, which is feared to have killed thousands.
He begged for help, saying “idle hands will only make this tragedy worse”, adding: “The international community must also rise to the occasion.”
Superstar couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have given a foster care organisation a fabulous Christmas present.
The Hollywood couple, who have three adopted children of their own, have donated just over $100,000 (£62,600) to the American SOS Children’s Villages.
The money will go towards the creation of alternative foster care programmes for children in Florida and Illinois.
Angelina said in a statement: “We have seen first-hand the remarkable job SOS does to raise orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together.”
Brad and Angelina adopted Maddox from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam and Zahara from Ethiopia.
They have three biological children, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.
The domestic bliss of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has inspired a gingerbread-like house in Oklahoma named The Brangelina.
The 4000-square-feet $500,000 house, built near Pitt’s birthplace in Oklahoma City, also features a sculpture titled Brangelina Forever.
The house was designed by a Los Angeles artist known as Xvala. The Brangelina Forever sculpture is a life-size cast of Brad and Angelina in an embrace and is said to contain crushed glass from wine glasses they drank from on their first meeting on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.
The sculpture will be worked into the ceiling of the novel house’s master bedroom.
The Brangelina is also stencilled with words that represent both Pitt and Jolie, including quotes from Jolie’s tattoos.
The house is for sale with the proviso that the owner must offer honorary ownership to Pitt and Jolie and put them up every time they come to town to visit Pitt’s grandmother.
The statue and the house are part of a documentary titled Domestic Bliss: The Daniel Edwards/XVALA Project by Oklahoma filmmaker Dave Smith.
Quentin Tarantino has revealed how he landed Brad Pitt for his new movie – six bottles of wine and a suspicious "smoking apparatus".
The legendary director says he already had a hunch that he and Pitt would get on great.
But, as a way of making him sign on to star in edgy Nazi-hunting movie Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino admits he got Brad drunk, with a "smoking apparatus" to add to the buzz.
"We kind of had an idea that we would like it," the Kill Bill director said. "Whether this love affair is going to happen, it has to be right. So I wrote this part and thought, ‘I think this is the one’. I flew to France to where he lives and had a big talk."
Told that rumour has it he got Brad drunk, the director stressed: "You have to understand something – Brad lives on a vineyard. I did not get him drunk – it’s his wine! We’re popping rose and we’re knocking it back … and then a smoking apparatus of some sort found its way on the table…
"Brad woke up the next morning and he’s like, ‘Ugggh’ – and he sees the smoking apparatus and starts counting the empty bottles of wine. There were six. That’s how you get the most sought-after guy on Planet Earth. You go to HIS vineyard and let him pop the cork."
