Quite sooner than might have been expected… it looks like the singer’s brand new album, “Hold it Against Me”, has a release date and it is the 15th of March. Britney Spears’ manager, Adam Leber, seems to be fairly excited about the new release since he tweeted the following: “Britney Spears did a photoshoot for her album package yesterday. Photos are nothing less than spectacular. We’ll share some soon. So many good things coming down the pipeline. Britney fans should be excited. Album is incredible, video is fire, photoshoot is pure glam. Patience isn’t just a great song by Guns N’ Roses. All good things to those who wait.” Well, one wouldn’t expect him to not be optimistic about it. And after all, the more hype they manage to build before the release, the better Britney Spears’ number will get.
It looks like Jason Alexander just doesn’t want to quit. Now there has been a new recording released in which a supposed Britney Spears admits to smoking pot while talking to him. This could all be good and true, but it really isn’t doing anything for Jason Alexander’s credibility. First Britney Spears is being abused by Jason Tarwick and now she’s a pothead? If that’s her former husband’s idea of a slander campaign, he might want to rethink it. There are certainly a few pretty crazy ways to deal with abuse, but weed isn’t really one of them… even considering it’s Britney Spears we’re talking about here.
It seems that Beyonce’s parents, Mathew Knowles and Tina Knowles, are no longer getting a divorce as neither of them saw it fit to attend their court hearing earlier this week to make it official. A judge in Harris County, Texas ultimately dismissed the case and moved on. I’m not entirely sure if the R&B singer’s manager dad and fashion designer mom have reconciled or not but it takes a rather conscious decision to avoid going to trial so something must be going on between them. I have high hopes. If Britney Spears’ parents can make it work, I’m sure they can too.
I have some good news and bad news regarding the MTV VMAs. The bad news is that Britney Spears wouldn’t be around this year. The pop singer’s manager Adam Leber said on Twitter that “Good news – When she’s not at the VMAs, she’ll be in the studio, working on her brand new album!” That’s definitely much better than just seeing Britney present a performer or an award on the awards show. The promise of new music is definitely more exciting to me. I appreciate the fact that she didn’t want to disturb her schedule just to be cute on camera.
