No Britney Spears at VMAs
I have some good news and bad news regarding the MTV VMAs. The bad news is that Britney Spears wouldn’t be around this year. The pop singer’s manager Adam Leber said on Twitter that “Good news – When she’s not at the VMAs, she’ll be in the studio, working on her brand new album!” That’s definitely much better than just seeing Britney present a performer or an award on the awards show. The promise of new music is definitely more exciting to me. I appreciate the fact that she didn’t want to disturb her schedule just to be cute on camera.

On the craziest she’s ever eaten: “A fruit bat — specialty in the Seychelles islands. They cooked it in red wine. It was really, really dark, grainy meat. It was quite frightening.”
On what her dad passed down to her: “I have really strong legs. I inherited them from my dad, who has tree stumps for legs, basically. I’ve got big calves that look good. It’s not profound stuff, then again, what can a 20 year old from California that’s grown up doing Disney movies have to say? She’s young, and I don’t think she has any profound political views yet, though as she matures, it will be interesting to read more of what she has to say. I’m looking forward to her doing action film, I think that would be a great direction for her to go in, especially with her big ‘goat toe’ enabling her to climb anything !!

Britney’s divorce cost her millions
Can’t live without each other when the romance is blossoming and then can’t live with each other post marriage, that’s the way romance in Hollywood usually turns out to be. But it’s not all that easy getting into and out of marriage, this is something Britney Spears has probably learnt by now.
The pop diva had to splurge a cool 460,000 US dollars for getting divorce from her then husband Kevin Ferderline which includes costs such as legal fee, lawyers and the custody battle kept going on and on.
Love is so fickle you feel that the person you have meet is going to love you more than anyone else but the bottom line is that he just love your back account numbers and assets etc. Kevin Ferderline cost Britney more than the diamond engagement ring and expensive gifts that he brought for her using Britney’s own money.
It’s similar to a fox walking up to a tigress and talking a walk around the park eating all of her catch and then the tigress sees the fox take over the park calling it his forte.
Britney Getting A Pedi Poolside
Here is Britney poolside at the Mandarin Oriental pool getting a pedicure. She is currently in the midst of her Circus tour but has a few days off relaxing with her children, visiting sick kids in the hospital, and going shopping at the Spanish Mediterranean-styled mall, Merrick Park in Coral Gables.
“Britney looked so fresh and was so nice,” a source at high-end shoe store, Jimmy Choo told PEOPLE:
“She bought shoes, sunglasses and bags and thoroughly enjoyed the shopping experience.”
Another mall retailer said: “Britney looked really relaxed and happy.”
Her tour resumes again tonight where she’ll be performing at Nassau Coliseum in New York before doing two nights in Newark, N.J.
Pappy Spears Deserves His Paycheque
Jamie Spears has filed documents stating that taking care of his daughter Britney is more than a full time job. He says he puts in between 60-70 hours per week and that justifies why the court is allowing him $16,000 a month as a salary.
In a declaration to the conservatorship commissioner that he filed last Friday, pappy Spears wrote that he deals with anywhere from 200 – 400 communications every day to coordinate his daughter’s schedule/life.
Jamie says he is making sure that all aspects of Britney’s tour (that kicks off tonight) runs smoothly, and he also coordinates Britney’s “medical, health, business, costuming, personal, security, household staff, and legal matters (touching upon entertainment, music, family law litigation, the resolution of numerous disputes, and the ongoing litigation and conservatorship matters.”
Hmm, guess I should be more appreciative of my parents. Mine did all that for my sister and me because… they love us!
Adnan Ghalib Is In Trouble
Adnan Ghalib, the paparazzi ex-boyfriend of Britney Spears is now charged with three felonies because he smashed his car into a process server a couple weeks ago. There’s also a warrant out for his arrest.
The L.A. County District Attorney has charged him with with the following:
assault with a deadly weapon
battery
hit and run
Adnan hit the man who was a process server who was reportedly trying to serve him with legal papers on behalf of Britney Spears. The incident happened in an alley and after being struck by Adnans’ car the server landed on the hood and held on to avoid being rammed into a garbage truck while the freak kept on driving!
Not a smart move on Adnan’s part. What’s wrong with just accepting the documents?
Beyonce At The 2009 Oscars
Beyonce arrived wearing this stunning gorgeous strapless black gown with metallic embellishments to the 2009 Oscars held at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (February 22).
Beyonce joined host Hugh Jackman, Mamma Mia! stars Amanda Seyfreid and Dominic Cooper, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, on stage for a special musical performance.
There seems to be quite a bit of chatter as to whether Beyonce was lipsynching during her musical number with Hugh Jackman or was she singing to a track? Some others suggest she used auto-tune, or that she may have relied a wee bit too much on her background singers.
Shame as I found it quite entertaining.
Lindsay Looking Thin
Lindsay and stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe lent their support to designer Matthew Williamson at the opening of his new store in NYC.
Lindsay addressed the rumours that she has stopped eating by informing all concerned that she “had my Big Mac yesterday from McDonald’s.” That’s probably all she ate in days though.
She blames her skinny new frame with the “stress” of “working a lot.”
Really? I didn’t realize she considered hanging out with SaMan while she does her DJing gigs work!
She added:
“They’ve already said everything about me that they can say. And I’ve never really cared then. I’m my own person, and people can say whatever they want. I’m still going to be the person that I am. And I think that’s so important for people in Hollywood. People have their ups and downs. Kids in college get DUIs. Everyone goes through something, and everyone can relate to something. I think that I don’t ever want to pretend to be something that I’m not. I’m not perfect; nobody is perfect. If you try to be perfect, you’ll probably go crazy. But you should always accept yourself for who you are. And that’s what I’ve done, and I’m happy.”
Lindsay said SaMan was still sick in Los Angeles, and that everything between them is fine, even though there are stories of the two of them having a public spat.

There is a problem with knowing what a healthy body image is in Hollyweird these days. Anexoria? Cocaine addiction? These two look as if they live on nothing but coffee & cigarettes! These are not the kind of role models little girls should be looking up to.
Britney’s Former ‘Manager’ Sues
Osama Lutfi, aka Sam Lutfi, Britney’s former ‘manager’ was served a restraining order the other day by Britney’s attorneys and he has now reacted to that by filing documents suing her and her parents for slander.
His court papers allege she broke an oral contract with him for his services and owes him thousands of dollars in unpaid fees. What kind of manager was he that he had an oral contract with someone who is mentally unfit to take care of herself?
Sam also claims in his court papers that her parents: “began a campaign of slander, libel and defamation aimed at discrediting, destroying and physically and emotionally intimidating Lutfi in order to drive him out of Britney’s life.”
He says since Britney’s mom’s book came out he has lost his reputation. No, he did that all on his own with the way he mis-handled her and her career. Is he even a credited manager? Does he have a license?
Britney Spears Heats Up USA Today’s Annual Celebrity Heat Index
Possibly because of her personal troubles or maybe not, Britney Spears is still the hottest human being on Planet Earth, according to USA Today’s annual Celebrity Heat Index, which measures how much exposure a star gets in print and online.
For 11 weeks this year, Britney received the most media attention out of everyone else and because she did, she earned the top spot on the index for the second year in a row! That coverage included everything from her shocking breakdown last January to her best-selling album, just released on Dec. 2.
PEOPLE readers also honored her with not one, but two titles, “best comeback” of 2008 as well as being the “most talked about celebrity.”
