Desperate Housewives star James Denton said it would be ‘nice to know’ if the show is returning for an eighth season. The 48-year-old actor plays the role of Mike Delfino in the hit US TV series and it is not yet known if ABC is going to pick it up for another season. He said to TV Guide Magazine: “I wish I knew if we were coming back. It would be nice to know if we had a Season 8. We’re all kind of on pins and needles.” The cast has finalised their salary negotiations and they have all agreed to appear in another season. Denton added: “I’m very optimistic. All the negotiations worked out, everybody’s happy, but the network has some scheduling decisions to make and we’re not arrogant enough to assume that we’ll automatically be there and they haven’t told us. “We’re hopeful, but I never believe it until it’s in the papers.”
Denise Richards is reportedly hoping for a coveted spot on the next series of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, who has two children with the troubled actor, revealed she would love to get involved in the hit Bravo reality show. And with stars Camille Grammer and Kim and Kyle Richards yet to confirm they’ll return to screens in the hotly anticipated series, the stunning actress could well step in as a replacement. When asked if she’d consider taking part, the 40-year-old told UsMagazine.com: “Heck, yeah, I would! It’s one of my favorite shows!” And while her ex, Sheen, 45, is friendly with neighbours Adrienne Maloof and Dr Paul Nassif – Nassif even placed the 911 call following the actor’s near two-day bender – Richards is already eyeing other ladies as potential pals. “I have two [favourites],” Richards added. “I love Lisa [Vanderpump] and Kyle [Richards].” As for her other favourite girls – daughters Sam, 6, and Lola, 5 – Richards says they’re being shielded from their wayward dad’s latest antics. “We’re just focused on keeping it positive for them,” she told the magazine. “They’re really doing well, honestly. They’re great.”
Camille Grammer’s rep has hinted she could be considering leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The model, who is thrashing out a divorce settlement with estranged husband Kelsey Grammer, is reportedly giving serious thought to not returning to the reality show for a second season. Her spokesman Howard Bragman told People: “She has not made any decision yet about whether she’s returning to the show or not. She taped a very explosive reunion episode yesterday, where people are going to see a different side of her than they’ve seen before. Camille’s situation has changed since the show began. She did the show because Kelsey wanted her to do it and now she’s a single mother raising two kids. Her life has changed and she has a lot of new responsibilities. She’s also in the middle of negotiating a divorce settlement, so this is not the time for her to make a decision about the show.”
Eva Longoria’s rep has denied she is in talks to star in her own reality show. The National Enquirer carried a report claiming the Desperate Housewives actress is considering signing up for a reality show with A&E, which would be “based on her endlessly dramatic real life”. “[It will] document her push to reassemble her life after a broken marriage,” the Enquirer added. But a spokesman for Longoria, who split from husband Tony Parker last month, rubbished the claim, stating there was no truth in it. He told Gossip Cop: “This is total B.S.”
Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher cooked up a Christmas Eve treat and posted the pictures on the internet for everyone to see. The actress showed off the mouth-watering dishes she made on social networking website Facebook. Some of the food she made included apple pie, lemon cheesecake, chicken and mushroom and spinach risotto. The 46-year-old is seen sweating and slaving in the kitchen to make the holiday meal. Teri even posted a picture of herself moving a rubbish bin with the caption, ‘Yes I do take out my own trash’.
Vanessa Williams has revealed that the fiery vixen she plays in Desperate Housewives is based on her 70-year-old mum. The 47-year-old former Miss America, who has made a name for herself playing as she says “strong and powerful and dangerous” women in hit TV shows Ugly Betty, South Beach and now Desperate Housewives, tells Ebony magazine that thinking of her mother’s personality helped her to develop those roles. “My mother has great posture,” Williams says of her retired schoolteacher mum, Helen Williams. “She’s a pip-squeak. She’s 5ft tall. She walks in the room and takes control. She’s always been the shortest one. But she’s always been a fighter and a survivor. “I took that courage that she has.” But Williams is quick to point out that she is nothing like her famous on-screen characters. She tells the US magazine: “[They are the] furthest from who I really am, but it is so much fun. “Because I get a chance to say things that I never would have the guts to say to people in a room not being condescending or putting people down or putting them in their place proper but it sure is fun when it’s not you that has to pay the consequences.”
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria believes it is “important” to have a large family with her husband Tony Parker. The 35 year-old told Scottish newspaper the Daily Record: “Family is very important to me, it means everything – it is the root of who I am and what grounds me. “Tony is family to me, he is my most important family member. We are very close and we both want a large family – we both make our family a large priority in our lives.” Longoria added that the new series of Desperate Housewives is exciting as she has to step up to a trouble-making neighbour, played by former Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams.
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker is countersuing her former restaurant partners.
The 35-year-old actress was recently sued by two of her ex-partners at her Beso Las Vegas restaurant.
Her rep Liza Anderson confirmed to RadarOnline.com: “All allegations against Longoria Parker and the restaurant are absolutely false, untrue, and without merit.
“Longoria Parker plans to countersue the couple in a court of law in order to protect the integrity of the restaurant, its brand, and the welfare and well-being of her employees, as well as her own reputation.”
The actress was recently sued by former partners Ronen and Mali Nachim.
The pair had been brought in to manage the restaurant and had a small equity investment in the Las Vegas branch.
They recently filed a breach-of-contract suit against the actress following concerns from Longoria Parker and other partners about their management style.
Teri Hatcher has joked that she’d been caught in bed with veteran TV host Larry King.
The Desperate Housewives star confessed to an “affair” with the newsman.
She told a US talk show there was photographic evidence of them in a compromising situation.
Hatcher, 45, told Jimmy Kimmel Live: “I got myself in this situation where there are some photos of me floating around out there.”
Kimmel joked: “Oh, good!”
She continued: “It’s not really good. I just want to get it out there and not have the tabloids run away with it. The truth is, I slept with Larry King – in the three days he was getting a divorce.”
Kimmel said: “This is unbelievable. This is a bombshell. Does Larry know about this?”
She then showed off what she said were photos of them together – which in reality showed her romping in purple lingerie with a wrinkly old TURTLE.
Kimmel said: “Actually, this looks more like a box turtle to me than Larry King. That’s Larry King? Because Larry King parts his hair to the right.”
She insisted: “Jimmy, that is Larry King. He told me [it was]. I mean, look, he’s wearing suspenders. If that’s not Larry King, then I’m an a*shole.”
