Playboy boss Hugh Hefner has denied reports that he is dead and said the rumours were ‘greatly exaggerated’. There were recent rumours on the Internet that the 85-year-old had passed away after suffering a heart attack. A story claimed Playboy magazine would be printed as usual after his death and a Playmate even spoke out about his life. But soon after the story started to be picked up by several different news outlets, the Playboy founder took to his Twitter page to confirm he is still alive. He wrote: “The rumours of my death are, as Mark Twain observed in a similar situation, greatly exaggerated. I’m very much alive & kicking. “I’m lying in bed next to Shera with a big smile on my face, reading tweets about my unexpected demise.”

Actress Rachel Weisz is set to play the evil witch in Oz: The Great and Powerful, according to reports. Rachel, 41, is apparently in talks to star alongside James Franco as the wizard and Mila Kunis as her sister Theadora, Total Film reports. The Constant Gardener star would play the character of Evanora, a witch who wants to rule the land and tries to get her sister to help her. Sam Raimi is set to direct the film, which is being viewed as Disney’s prequel to the classic Wizard of Oz tale about a girl from Kansas who is swept away to the Land of Oz.

There’s dedication for you… although it probably rules out the possibility of auntie Kylie Minogue ever having any kids of her own, or getting married. It seems that the singer is very serious on continuing her career forever, especially since she recently released her eleventh album. This is what Kylie Minogue said on the matter: “I can see me going out with a purple rinse. And one of my greatest idols, Dolly Parton, keeps on doing it. We’ll see.” Just as long as she doesn’t turn into a new Cher or a new Madonna, Kylie Minogue will be just fine… as far as pop stars go, at least.

The singer recently declared that, contrary to popular opinion, she is not one of those self-obsessed pop stars. This is what Jennifer Lopez said on the matter: “I never like stories where people say I misbehave or act like a diva, because I don’t. Or that I make terrible demands, because those are always fabricated stories, and always have been. But they’ve become such a strong part of my image that I have no control over it. They’re not true, though, and that’s always bothered me.” Well, truth be told, even if Jennifer Lopez wanted to be a diva, she’d have a hard time catching up to the queen of them all: Mariah Carey. So there is no need to worry, whomsoever claims that Jennifer Lopez is a diva clearly has never had any knowledge of the stuff Mariah Carey pulls on the job.

Hollywood legend Raquel Welch has reportedly claimed that Jessica Alba and Megan Fox get no respect from the film studios for their movie roles.

The 69-year-old actress made her comments in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, in which she praised the old Hollywood studio system, when actors were given contracts with top studios such as Warner Bros, MGM and 20th Century Fox.

She said: “I wasn’t working in the time of the studio system, where there were plenty of parts to do and parts that were appropriate for you – not parts from left-field where you had to somehow figure out, ‘How I am going to do this’.

“They do that now with Jessica Alba sometimes and Megan Fox and they get no respect.”

Welch is currently promoting her autobiography, Raquel: Beyond The Cleavage, and revealed that she is resigned to being seen as a sex symbol.

She said: “I am not a fool. I realised when I came along I wasn’t Meryl Streep who had been put into a bikini. I was somebody that got rocketed into the spotlight and superstardom overnight.

“I knew this was going to give me an opportunity and I should make the best of it. I think that I managed to do that, but it was not easy.”

Despite being married four times the mother-of-two said that she didn’t want to write a salacious tell-all book.

She said: “You don’t have to do just some dirty-laundry book. I wanted to speak about the unspeakable, like menopause.

“What we really don’t need to talk about much has to do with plain old sex…”

Oscar nominee Penelope Cruz’s thick Spanish accent landed her in trouble in a TV chat with fellow actress Halle Berry as she kept referring to Halle’s movie as Monster’s Balls.

The Nine star admitted she struggles to pronounce the name of the film – Monster’s Ball – which won Halle a Best Actress Oscar. And she proved it by balls-ing up again on camera.

The movie beauties ended up in fits of giggles as they interviewed each other on Oprah Winfrey’s Oscars Special.

Penelope confessed: “I have a problem with the title of the movie. A lot of people laugh at me because when I say it, it sounds like the balls of the monster.

“I have tried to correct myself.”

Penelope burst out laughing and failed to finish her question as she started: “But in Monster’s Balls….”

The pair also giggled as Penelope asked Halle about the famous sofa sex scene in the film.

Halle told how she will watch Sunday’s ceremony “in my JJs at home with a glass of wine.”

Kanye tells Complex his thoughts on why people are curious about his sexuality:

“I really think it’s because society tries to dictate the way a guy is supposed to dress and the way a guy is supposed to act, and I refuse to conform. A lot of these dudes would never be accused of being gay just because they all look exactly alike. If people could just realize the amount of mundaneness and followers that lack creativity… I think people’s mentality is like, Only gay people are that creative. And it’s true there are a lot of gay people who are incredible creative minds, but there are straight people who are incredible creative minds—and there’s gay people who can’t dress or create at all, too. Closed-minded gay people probably say they dress ‘straight.’”

Jessica is on tour with Rascal Flatts and she opened the show on Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Hmm, if her ex-hubby Nick didn’t abuse her he needs to speak up! In light of the Chris/RiRi alleged assault recently, discussions about domestic violence are going to be going on much more. If she isn’t referring to Nick and she means someone else, who could it be, and if she means Nick, this kind of talk could ruin him because scandalous talk spreads like wild fire.

Starpulse has informed Diddy fans what his personal hygiene routine is while he gets in the mood and gets gets ready to go out. He told them the following:

“It takes me an hour and a half to get ready to go out. I meditate for a bit. Then I pick out an outfit that takes 20 minutes. Then I shower, and when I get out of the shower, I don’t towel dry, I air dry. I have air dry fans in my room. Then I do some push ups and crunches. Then I dance around the room a bit.”

I totally dig the dancing around part… I mean doesn’t everyone who is anyone do that?! The air drying? This is something new to me. It seems that Diddy doesn’t like the feeling of towels! This was reported in the UK Sun three years ago… I must have missed that.

He said he never uses towels and that he does use “certain bath salts and bath oils or bath and shower gels then I just walk around, watch the news.”

He is odd.
