In other Madonna related news, she paid off her ex-husband Guy Ritchie 76 million to finalize their divorce. They still need to work out custody arrangements of their two sons, but have agreed to call a truce and celebrate Christmas together in England.
Dita Von Teese launched her new line of 1940s & 1950s inspired lingerie items for Wonderbra at Covent Garden in London today. She posed for photographers swinging in a giant model of one of her bras wearing a beautiful peach dress, high heels, flawless makeup and hair.
She had this to say:
“I’m going to move to Paris like all the other glamorous stars of the past that moved to Paris,” There are certain places that men always appreciate their glamour girls and especially their showgirls of any age, so I really am going to move to Paris, I think.”
“My first job when I was 15 years old was working in a lingerie store,” she told Reuters. “I worked there for many years and my obsession and love of lingerie is really what made me become a pinup model and burlesque dancer.”
While she is famous for dancing in giant cocktail glasses as well as being the former wife of Marilyn Manson, despite their divorce, she considers herself lucky in love.
“I think I’ve been very lucky in love. I’ve had lots of wonderful affairs and, you know, I haven’t found the great love of my life … I think I’m pretty lucky in love. May be not the way other people consider love to be lucky, but I’m all for the adventure of life and I don’t want it all to be one way and I don’t really need a storybook ending.”
Tina Turner may have said that she was retiring from touring but much like Cher, she has the power to change her mind and come out like a liar. The diva announced at a special Las Vegas taping of the Oprah Winfrey show with Cher this past weekend that she was headed back on the road. Well, she’s a legend anyway. She can do whatever she wants. Tina’s new tour starts on October 1st in Kansas and tickets for her tour go on sale on May 12th. The Oprah show with Cher and Tina will air on May 8th.
