Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly revealed their first designs for a new high-end jewellery line.
The A-list stars have developed the serpent-themed Protector Collection for British jewellery firm Asprey.
All net proceeds will be donated to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
A set of 18-carat white gold cufflinks encrusted with elegant black diamonds and emerald snake eyes will be the first piece to go on sale, priced at $10,000.
A spokesperson for Asprey said: "During Angelina’s first pregnancy she was given a snake ring, to guard her and her unborn child.
"She has subsequently given birth to Shiloh and her twins, Vivienne and Knox, and the symbol has become endowed with great personal importance as a family guardian.”
The snake motif is also featured in a series of pendants, bracelets, rings, a children’s tooth box and a silver egg cup.
Actress Salma Hayek has teamed up with friend Eric Helms for a new cleansing juice range called Cooler Cleanse.
The 43-year-old star has joined forces with Helm, from Juice Generation, after getting him to provide her with her own concoctions for the past decade.
Hayek reportedly approached Helm with the idea of making the juices into a business after stepping up her beauty regime before her wedding last year.
They then spent 12 months picking the recipes, which have now resulted in five flavours: grapefruit, mint, beets and apples, young coconut water and nut milk with dates.
According to NY Magazine, Helms said: “If you know her, you know she’s very particular.”
Grand slam star Serena Williams has a back-up plan.
One half of history’s most famous tennis sisters is studying to become a nail technician. Williams, who along with her sister, Venus, sidelines in fashion and glamour, said on her blog: “No one likes getting their nails done more than I do. As a matter of fact I go every four days to get a manicure and every seven days for a pedicure. So, I had a brilliant idea to get certified to be a nail tech.”
Serena, who took out the Australian Open last month during a nail-biting final, has wasted no time. “I thought ‘Serena, this is a no-brainer’. Immediately after I came home from the Australian Open I researched some schools and enrolled in a course that allowed me to complete 240 hours [the minimum requirement to be certified in Florida] at my own pace.”
The move may be a sign Serena is starting to see life beyond a grand slam. Digital Spy reports she continued: “The night before my class I made sure I had all my tools, books and gear organised. I went to the Hello Kitty store and bought plenty of containers as well as a backpack to keep my belongings. If I’m not the best, I sure do want to look like it. Not only do I plan on being the top student to graduate from my nail school, but I also intend on being the most fashionable! Don’t be surprised if you hear about a part-time job I’ve picked up at a local nail salon.”
Project Runway host Heidi Klum says her newborn daughter is “great”.
The 36-year-old has recently welcomed little Lou into the world and admits that she won’t leave her side.
Heidi, who married singer Seal back in 2005, told Extra: “I mean it’s a little bit hard because she’s very attached to me still. She doesn’t drink from the bottle.
“That’s a little bit of an issue right now!”
Klum also mentioned that she won’t be spending Valentine’s Day with her husband Seal, 46, but she plans to make it up to him with a home-made package.
She added: “I’m not going to be with him, I’m going to be in New York for fashion week.”
Venus Williams’s underwear choice has stirred up controversy at the Australian Open.
The usually conservative Williams wore a pair of flesh-coloured boy shorts that drew comments she had pushed the envelope and gone “commando”.
Williams, 29, who is at the Melbourne tournament with her sister Serena, took to Twitter to say,
“I am wearing undershorts the same color as my skin, so it gives the slits in my dress the full effect!”
Some fans had been outraged by the choice. One wrote on Venus’s website: “Please put on some decent panties. I do not watch tennis to see your exposed buttocks!”
Another took the opposite view, writing: “I just love her dress – it has flare (sic) and it has imagination.”
Venus and Serena rightfully see themselves as fashion-setters in women’s tennis, taking great care with each and every outfit.
For Venus, it was all about the slits. She tweeted: “My dress for the Austrailian Open (sic) has been one of my best designs ever! Its all about the slits and V-Neck.”
Joan Rivers will bust badly-dressed celebs in a series of awards season Fashion Police operations.
The clothes-minded critiques begin with Fashion Police: The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 18.
Joining Rivers on the red carpet beat will be E! personalities Khloé Kardashian Odom, Giuliana Rancic and Jay Manuel.
Rivers said: “With this group of candid, clever and hilarious personalities, the 2010 award season is certain to bring our most outrageous Fashion Police specials yet.
“I am delighted to be back on E! and to have the opportunity to say what I think about the fashions on the red carpet. Most of all, I am thrilled to have my daughter Melissa producing. I know with Melissa at the helm, I can relax and say what I really want.”
Project Runway will hit the airwaves for a seventh season on the Lifetime television network next month, the network has announced.
The host will be the wildly popular supermodel Heidi Klum, the mentor Tim Gunn and the judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. Sixteen competitors will face off in the hope of winning a coveted opportunity to show a collection at the New York Fashion Week, Lifetime announced. The first show will go to air on January 14.
Klum, meanwhile, wowed the audience when she stepped back onto the catwalk at the recent Victoria’s Secret show in New York. But Klum, who gave birth to her fourth child, a daughter, only five weeks ago, looked in great shape in her purple corset covered with a half gown with tulle poufs.
The winner of the seventh season of Project Runway – which has spun off around the world – will receive an editorial feature in Marie Claire, the chance to sell their line on Bluefly.com, a $50,000 technology suite by HP and Intel and $100,000 in cash from L’Oréal Paris.
It seems that Mariah Carey’s dress code is a bit off lately. While performing the Italian version of The X Factor, Mariah Carey wore a dress that was a bit too tight for her very generous curves… especially the ones in the chest. The pictures can be seen… it seems as though Mariah Carey’s dress is about to burst around the chest. Better get some larger clothes, there’s no shame in it, no one will point and laugh… well, at least not so rudely as to be noticed. But wouldn’t Mariah Carey rather have that in contrast to doing some unwanted topless at moonlight?

The former Spice Girl said she has already picked out a dress for a band reunion.

She said: “Victoria and me text all the time. But I rarely get to see her as we’re always so busy travelling all over the world.

”All of us Spice Girls are still in touch, though. In fact, I’m going out with Geri and Emma while I’m here, and I’ll be wearing one of Victoria’s dresses.”

The singer from the Black Eyed Peas recently admitted that she dyed her hair brown in order to ease her passing into adulthood. This was Fergie’s explanation: “I’ve always been blonde, but it’s a new time in my life. It felt like it was time to evolve.” Isn’t all of this just a very fancy and complicated way of hinting at the fact that grey hairs have started to appear and Fergie just wants to cover them up a little longer? Well, whatever the case, she can’t hide from “adulthood” for much longer… it’s eventually going to completely catch up with her.
