Model Gisele Bündchen says family will always be her top priority. The 30-year-old is a busy working mum and when husband Tom Brady’s sister Nancy Brady asked her to help raise funds for Accordia’s Infectious Diseases Institute, which helps battle against disease in Africa, she was more than happy to get involved. She told People.com: “Family is very important to me and Nancy’s passion for funding Accordia’s training programme after her fellowship in Uganda is inspirational. “We are blessed to have families that support each other’s philanthropic endeavours.” Gisele and Tom, 33, attended the event, and helped to raise more than $250,000 for the cause.
Gisele Bündchen believes a law should be introduced that forces mothers to breastfeed their babies for six months.
The new mum, who had son Benjamin with husband Tom Brady last December, said that there should be a worldwide law to ensure newborns get all the nutrients they need.
The 30-year-old Brazilian supermodel said, “I think breastfeeding really helped me keep my figure. Some people here in the US think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’
“I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”
Bündchen, who once dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio, had a natural home birth and prepared for it through meditation.
Actress Bridget Moynahan has revealed that she tried to stay positive when her ex Tom Brady started dating supermodel Gisele Bündchen – even though she was pregnant with his child at the time.
The Six Degrees star, 40, says she kept mum and tried to “take the high road” while the “drama” unfolded three years ago.
In an interview with Self, Moynahan says: “No matter what’s been thrown at me in the past couple of years, I try to find the positive…
“It’s easy to bitch and to listen to your people bitch, so if someone going through a divorce asks me for advice, I say, ‘All the he said/she said stuff doesn’t matter. And your kid will pick up on that energy. Keep your kids the focus’.”
The model-turned-actress – who appears on the August cover of the US fitness magazine – dated the American football player for three years before they split at the end of 2006.
A month later, Brady was photographed in Paris with his new girlfriend Bündchen.
Shortly after his romance with the German supermodel began, however, Moynahan announced that she was pregnant with the NFL player’s baby.
Their son John Edward Thomas was born in August 2007.
Brady and Bündchen have since married and have a son of their own, Benjamin, who was born in December 2009.
New mum Gisele Bundchen has been named as the world’s top-earning model for the second year in a row.
The 29-year-old, who was born in Brazil, gave birth to her first child, son Benjamin, in December last year and her modelling career doesn’t seem to have been affected.
She has reportedly brought in £17 million making her the top-earning model in the world again this year ahead of Heidi Klum, 36, who only made a reported £11 million.
Steve Bertoni, from Forbes, said: “These contracts were written during the doldrums of the recession. So when companies decided on the faces of their campaigns, they wanted to play it safe.”
