Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford has obtained a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband.
In the documents, the actress alleges German businessman Daniel Giersch “has begun to follow me, my mother and my nanny and he shows up unexpectedly to threaten and scare us”.
Rutherford filed for divorce from Giersch in January, and the pair have been locked in a custody battle over kids Hermes, two, and Helena, three months.
Rutherford has moved to New York to shoot the show Gossip Girl and claims Giersch has been ruining her new life.
“Daniel has done everything he can to sabotage my otherwise calm and organized life with our children in New York,” her declaration on the papers states.
“I am extremely concerned Daniel will continue to interrogate and harass anyone who works with me.”
The restraining order claims that nanny Michaela Kothanova quit to escape all the drama.
Rutherford’s mother, Ann Edwards, alleges that Giersch once appeared inside a restaurant where she was eating with his son.
“Daniel was blocking our way out of the restaurant,” she claimed, adding that he showed up in a store the following day where Rutherford, Edwards and Hermes happened to be.
Giersch’s lawyer Fahi Takesh Hallin denied the claims, calling them “fabricated accusations” intended to harm Giersch’s reputation.
“Daniel will remain focused on co-parenting both of their children and not make any personal comments in order to continue to protect the children’s need for privacy and wellbeing,” says Hallin.
