Chris Brown Allegedly Receiving Threats
Since the photo of Rihanna’s injuries she received after the alleged beat down she got from Chris Brown circulated online and television, he’s been receiving threats. A source told Life & Style:
“Chris is scared. Not only did he probably lose his career and his girlfriend, but he’s also fearing for his security and his life. Chris is a marked man. He faces criminal charges and possible jail time, but he’s going to have to deal with Rihanna’s legion of fans and her close-knit friends in the industry. That photo was the last straw. The threats started pouring in the moment that appeared online.”
I remember seeing a video of JayZ laying the pimp hand down on some chica on Youtube and there wasn’t too much fuss about it, as all the radio stations still played his music.
Then there is R Kelly’s sex tape with a minor… when that came out Jay Z still went on tour with him and everyone still played his music on the radio as well.
The public is fickle at times. They’ll let some people slide, while others don’t get cut the same slack. Wonder why?
Rihanna And Chris Brown At 2009 Grammy Salute To Industry Icons
Rihanna looking lovely in Gucci puts her arm around her boy Chris Brown at the 2009 GRAMMY Salute To Industry Icons honoring Clive Davis at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (February 7) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The two of them will be performing Tonight at the Grammys. Some of the other musical talent scheduled to appear will be: Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Kayne West, Estelle, Adele, Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, the Jonas Brothers, Kid Rock, Lil Wayne, Paul McCartney (with special guest drummer Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters), Katy Perry, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Radiohead, T.I., Justin Timberlake, U2, Carrie Underwood, and Jay-Z.
Jermaine Dupri Parties ‘Till He Pukes
JERMAINE Dupri had quite the 36th birthday. The other night, Dupri and his boo Janet Jackson, partied it up at Tenjune, where they drank and shared bottles of Jay-Z’s Ace of Spades Champagne and Patrón tequila with friends Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes and Ice-T. Seems as if Dupri went overboard. Insiders at Tejune snitched to the New York Post saying he:
“vomited in Janet’s lap. Ms. Jackson bolted out of the scene and sped off in her chauffeured Maybach.”
A rep for Jackson and Dupri didn’t return calls. A rep for Tenjune declined to comment.
Maybe he’s stressed out? He is the head of urban music for Island/Def Jam and he did put out Janet’s last album, “Discipline,” which tanked. New York Post’s insider said:
“[IDJ head] L.A. Reid had wanted to make changes to the album, make it fresher with some newer artists added in, but Janet said no – and Jermaine backed her up. He looks silly right now.”
If I were Janet, I’d be kicking his rude a** out of my life. Puking in my lap is a deal breaker!
Jay-Z : September Issue of Vibe
For the September issue of Vibe magazine, interviewer Elliot Wilson asked 15 questions of Jay-Z. Towards the end of the interview and after hearing Jay-Z refer to Beyoncé as a “friend” the last question was:
“You said your ‘friend,’ but this is your wife. Are you still not willing to confirm?”
“That’s ridiculous for me to confirm,” replies Jay-Z. “I don’t have … I’m gonna say, I think that was a ridiculous question. I just think it’s really a part of your life that you gotta keep to yourself.”
He did share his reason for trying to guard his privacy and why there has been no public confirmation of their union. He said:
“You have to, or you’ll go insane in this type of business. You have to have something that’s sacred to you and the people around you.
“I shared so much of my life, my childhood, and my family, the death of my nephew with the world. I should have something to hold on to. You need something for your sanity … to say, Okay, I could chill out, and this is it.
He did admit to being in an exclusive relationship saying it’s :
“part of maturing, right? You have the right people around you, and if that person around you is your friend, then you just wanna carry it like that. You get to a point when you could let people into your circle, and that’s it.”
Timbaland To Produce Jay-Z’s Next Album
I was excited to hear that Timbaland will be doing Jay-Z’s entire next album. He recently told MTV that he will completely produce Jay’s follow-up to American Gangster, and… the new album will be a “monster!”
Timbaland scored a double win at the 21st Annual ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards last month taking two top prizes including Songwriter of the Year. The “Apologize” beatmaker, whose collabs with artists like Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and OneRepublic, was also honored for his work on rapper Fabolous’ song “Make Me Better.”
He was named Songwriter of the Year at the 25th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in April as well.
Beyonce is Now Mrs. Z
Beyonce and Jay Z apparently got hitched on friday. It is really about time those two have been together forever. I bet B was feeling left out since everyone in Hollywood is getting pregnant and she isn’t getting any younger. How long until Beyonce gets knocked up? I say 3 months..
Beyonce Is Engaged
Jay-Z has come out of retirement again to drop an album called “American Gangsta”. Seriously what is up with guys going into ‘retirement’ and then coming back not even a year later!
Anyway, apparently one of the new songs include the lyrics “Beyonce the Fiance”. They have been together for quite a long time, and it would be nice if they finally got hitched. Beyonce is getting older and she probably wants to have a kid soon, because that is what all the Hollywood girls are doing now a days!
