Jennifer Aniston is reuniting with Courteney Cox on the small screen – to play her shrink.

The former Friends co-stars are teaming up for Cox’s TV show Cougar Town, which starts its second series next month.

Aniston, 41, will play a character named Bonnie, who Cox’s character Jules Cobb visits for therapy sessions.

Cougar Town executive producer Bill Lawrence confirmed: “She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie. [A] kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life type of therapist.”

He added: “Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life Jules wishes she has.”

Aniston is set to appear on the show’s season two premiere, which will air in the US on 22 September.

And Lawrence said he has not ruled out inviting The Switch star back for further episodes.

Lawrence said: “We’re very intentionally implying that it’s a therapist Courteney has been using for a while and we’re certainly not going to make it like they’ll never see each other again.

“I’m crossing my fingers that if she has a good time it’ll happen again.”

The Switch star Jennifer Aniston has said she does not “envy” Lindsay Lohan.

The actress took part in US entertainment show Extra’s Rapid-Fire Quiz.

And when asked who she does not envy, the former Friends star told Extra’s host Terri Seymour: “I don’t envy Lindsay Lohan.”

She added: “Poor thing.”

Lohan has recently served 13 days of a 90-day sentence in jail for breaking the conditions of her probation in a drink-driving case.

Aniston also admitted that she tries to avoid crime.

The 41-year-old said: “Robbery. Mugging. No, that’s not true, because I have been mugged.

“That is a horrible answer. Oh God, I suck at this game – next?”

Jennifer Aniston has opened up about the inspiration that she has gotten from legendary performer Barbra Streisand, as the Friends star poses for a dramatic photo shoot styled to look like original Funny Girl.

“Barbra inspires me because there isn’t anything she hasn’t done that she wanted to do, especially as a female in the time when her generation was prime. She’s a true renais­sance woman,” said Aniston, 41.

“I had a long conversation with Barbra about directing because I directed a short a couple years ago, and if I don’t do it again soon, I’m going to burst out of my skin. And we also love interior design. [Barbra and I] are people who have been put in the spotlight, for better or for worse, and you just keep riding, and you keep overcoming.”

Aniston told Harpers Bazaar an important lesson she has learned from Babs was: “You don’t have to stop at one thing. You can do it all if you want to.”

A man who allegedly stalked actress Jennifer Aniston has been arrested, according to reports.

According to court papers, “delusional” Jason Peyton drove across the United States on a one-man mission to find the former Friends star.

Cops found him waiting at a location he believed Aniston regularly visited. He had spent eight days trying to find her.

Court documents reveal 24-year-old Peyton was discovered on 15 July “laying in wait in a location he believes she frequents with a sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about [Aniston]“.

He had also carved huge messages into the paint of his car, which read “I Love Jennifer Aniston” and “I Love You Jennifer Aniston”.

After being arrested, Peyton was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold.

The Bounty Hunter star has reportedly now obtained a restraining order against Peyton, whose violent past reportedly includes stabbing himself and hitting his mother with a golf club.

Peyton had previously been institutionalised and ordered to take anti-psychotic drugs, but authorities claim he stopped taking the medication in March.

Cops caught up with Peyton after he left a note for his father on 25 June in Pennsylvania, saying he was going to California.

His father realised he was going to find Aniston and alerted the police.

Peyton reportedly believes he is related to a string of celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Courteney Coz and former US President George Bush.

Jennifer Aniston and True Blood star Chris Gartin are not an item, a representative for the actress has claimed.

The pair had been seen enjoying an intimate dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles last week where they shared a burger and a bottle of champagne, sparking rumours the couple were dating.

Various reports in the US have since claimed the couple have been quietly seeing each other.

But Aniston’s rep told People magazine: “Chris and Jennifer have been friends for many years.

“She has had dinner with him dozens and dozens of times.”

Gartin, who played Hugo in HBO’s hit vampire drama and Aniston are said to have known each other friends for years after being introduced by mutual friends Courtney Cox and David Arquette.

The Bounty Hunter star has previously been linked to singer John Mayer and actor Vince Vaughn since her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt.

Actress Jennifer Aniston is reportedly set to go topless in a new Colin Farrell film.

The 41-year-old star is set to appear in new movie Horrible Bosses opposite Farrell, 34, and it is claimed the role is a “total departure” from her usual rom-coms.

Aniston will play a sex-obsessed dentist who even ends up breaking one of her nails while performing a sex act.

A source said to UK newspaper The Sun: “It was worked out before she signed her contract, so she’s committed.”

Actress Jennifer Aniston has said she is getting her ‘kid fix’ on set of new movie Just Go With It.

The 41-year-old might not have any children of her own but said her co-stars’ children were providing her with plenty of entertainment.

The star is godmother to her best friend Courteney Cox’s young daughter Coco.

Aniston is starring alongside Nicole Kidman, 42, who has a one-year-old daughter Sunday; Adam Sandler, who has two young daughters Sadie and Sunnie; and Dave Matthews, who is dad to daughters Stella and Grace and son August.

Kidman admitted that the stars’ kids are getting on well while they shoot the film in Hawaii.

She said to Entertainment Tonight: “It’s wonderful. There is a little school all set up. [Dave has a two-and-a-half year old boy] who Sunday likes.”

Aniston added: “I’m constantly getting a kid fix!”

Jennifer Aniston is releasing a new perfume called Lolavie this summer, according to reports.

The Bounty Hunter star’s signature scent will go on sale at London’s Harrods department store in June before it hits stores in the US later this year, according to US magazine Women’s Wear Daily.

The former Friends star, 41, revealed that her perfume, which is expected to cost $46.50, will be “sexy and clean” and “floral, but not too flowery”.

She added that she doesn’t want her new fragrance to be too overpowering and that it will be a “non-perfume perfume”.

Aniston joins a host of recent celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria Parker and Sarah Jessica Parker, who have launched their own perfume line.

The Bounty Hunter star Jennifer Aniston has said there is not a Friends movie in the pipeline.

Aniston, 41, has ruled out plans for a movie of the hit series despite fans petitioning for a film adaptation.

Aniston said to UK radio station Capital: “There’s no film. There are such legs on that rumour – but no!”

The actress also spoke about her plans to bring out her own perfume.

She said: “I’ve worked on it for over a year. When they asked, I don’t think they expected me to [be] so picky. But you’ve got to have it smell right.”

The hit series Friends will be turned into a movie, the News Of The World reports in an exclusive.

James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther, confirmed to the paper: “Friends: The Movie is definitely on. I still keep in touch with a lot of the cast and they say that they are really keen.”

Stars Jennifer Aniston, 40, Courteney Cox, 45, Lisa Kudrow, 46, Matt LeBlanc, 42, Matthew Perry, 40, and David Schwimmer, 42, will reprise their living rooms for the show’s debut on the big screen. Friends ceased filming in 2004, when its main stars were each said to be earning in the six figures per episode.

Jennifer Aniston’s career has burgeoned more than any of her co-stars, with movie roles following in succession. She has recently shot The Bounty. Her best friend in real life Courteney Cox is currently making Cougar Town for television.

A movie source said: “The cast haven’t set the world alight since the show finished. But this film could relight some of their flagging careers in a big way. But everyone knew the story had to be right and well written. Getting the creators on board was a massive step forward for the project. The show did lose a lot of its shine in the last few seasons, but with the actors all in the forties it would be a real interest to see how their characters have developed.”
