Keira Knightley has reportedly become a dab hand on the drums thanks to her rocker boyfriend. Klaxons star James Righton has apparently been teaching the actress, 26, how to rock-out during candle-lit jam sessions at friends’ houses. A source told The Sun, “Keira is turning into a proper rock chick. She might be as posh as they come but she has no qualms about letting herself go on a drum kit. “She’s a quick learner, too, so it won’t be long until she can play at a decent level.” Introduced by mutual friend Alexa Chung, the couple first hooked up in March, months after she split from actor Rupert Friend.
Actress Keira Knightley said she’s always been taught to ‘treat people right’ and her fame hasn’t changed that. The 26-year-old star was brought up in Teddington, south west London, with her mum Sharman MacDonald and dad Will Knightley. She said to UK newspaper Daily Mirror: “I was always brought up by Mum to treat people how I wanted to be treated myself. Just because I have had some success that does not change anything. “From the age of seven my goal was to buy my own flat. I even had a jar when I was growing up full of pennies which I had saved. “I was able to buy a flat aged 20 and become financially independent. It made me feel good to have my own roof over my head.”
Actress Keira Knightley has vowed that she will never sign up on popular websites like Facebook or Twitter because she has this feeling that such social networking sites are “dehumanizing” users.
Keira Knightley, the star of such blockbusters like ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ feel she will not like to follow of the footsteps of famous celebrity bloggers like Britney Spears who have seen their popularity grow many folds after they got a step closer to their fans through the internet.
She says, “I hate the internet. I find it dehumanizing to constantly check emails or social sites that have become so fashionable. I’m not a celebrity. I don’t go home or out with friends saying, ‘I’m a celebrity’ and I don’t ask to be treated like a queen. Mom and dad wouldn’t like that.”
Keira Knightley must accept the fact that the Internet is a great way to promote yourself by having your own websites and blogging about the rubbish things you do in your personal life and that’s what people want. If you are not willing to do that then you are smart. Also the net does not dehumanize people; people do.
Here is a clip of her in her new film “The Edge of Love”
She had this to say abouther singing experience : “I did some lessons with a voice coach because I can’t sing. It was live. There were 100 extras and the director John Maybury was like, ‘Now you’re going to sing. I’ve never been so frightened in my entire life. I never want to do it again. I don’t want to be a rock star.”
I don’t think anyone else wants her to be either! *meow* that was catty… I’ll drink my milk from a saucer tonight!
