Lady GaGa is back on top
Even in the UK… after the booming success of Adele’s “21” release in the singer’s home country, it looks like Lady GaGa’s “Born this Way” has finally caught up and surpassed Adele’s release and is now number one on the UK’s album charts with 400, 000 copies sold to date. So Lady GaGa’s supremacy is now uncontested when it comes to album sales. Apparently all it takes is a little patience… and how can anyone assume that Lady GaGa is swindling charity money when she is obviously doing so well… or is it her record label that’s doing well in this case?
Lady GaGa’s info about her next tour
The singer isn’t going to be forgetting her very fervent followers now is she? Of course not! Lady GaGa recently came forward for her adoring fans with details about her next tour. This is what she had to say: “I do have plans, it will be at the top of next year but I have to begin rehearsing by the end of this year. That’s what I do. It’s time for another marathon. If you’re running a marathon, and you’re about to cross the finish line, you don’t stop and say, ‘Oh, once I cross it, it’s over.’ You run as fast as you can to get there as quickly as you can. So I guess, for me, it’s about how many marathons can I run? How many dreams can I make true? Now, not for me, but for my fans.” Lady GaGa’s speech was probably a bit more metaphoric than what most of her fans might have been wishing for, but it looks like that’s her new thing nowadays. Still, there’s optimism and there’s care for the fans so what more could anyone need?
Lady GaGa is getting a new award
Probably nothing too amazing in this… by now Lady GaGa’s awards seem to be a dime a dozen. Still, this one is pretty special since it is from the NewNowNext Awards for Logo and it is being bestowed upon Lady GaGa basically just because she is herself. This is what Logo’s senior vice president, Dave Mace, had to say about Lady GaGa’s new award: “We knew the moment Lady Gaga made her inaugural television appearance on our first NewNowNext Awards back in 2008, she was destined for big things. In three short years, her ferocious talent and unending activism have earned her ‘icon’ status for millions of ‘little monsters’ and Logo viewers. All throughout her whirlwind rise, she’s remained a friend to Logo and we’re honored to have her back on the show. Simply put, she rocks our world.” Lady GaGa is probably going to get bored with her career pretty soon with all of the awards she’s getting… there just isn’t any challenge in it anymore.
Lady GaGa and her crew are hard at work
The release date is rapidly approaching and it seems that Lady GaGa and her crew are hard at work to make it as memorable as possible. Only recently the singer’s stylist, Nicola Formichetti, tweeted the following about the wonderful work they’ve been doing during the week-end: “shooting all day in nyc. yesterday we worked so hard. pushed and pushed. and magic happened again. total next level. i cant wait for feb 13.” Well they certainly seem very into this. Lady GaGa is probably getting something really special ready for all of those fans of hers out there… the anticipation grows.
Lady GaGa’s too ambitious fan
A so-called fan of the prestigious pop singer’s recently got a restraining order from Lady GaGa’s legal team due to some rather disturbing letters she wrote to the singer. The fan, a Russian woman named Anastasia Obukhova, apparently wrote the following in the letter to Lady GaGa: “You come to my dreams. I want to die and I want to die together with you. I am not Mark Chapman. It is not only you who will die. I will shoot a bullet through my head too.” It seems that Lady GaGa sure has some pretty fanatic fans… still, they shouldn’t feed her ego by alluding she might be the next John Lennon.

Amy Winehouse will not collaborate with Lady Gaga
Amy Winehouse’s advertiser dismissed the rumors saying that Amy will collaborate with Lady Gaga on her new album. Amy Winehouse is preparing to release a new album, after four years of silence, when she tried to fix her drug and alcohol problems. A famous tabloid recently wrote that Lady Gaga is willing to fly to London to help Amy with her new album. Amy Winehouse’s agent said that these rumors are not true at all. I must say, unfortunately, they are not. A collaboration between the two of them would have been a successful one, I’m sure.

The Runaways give Lady GaGa advice
Joan Jett and Cherie Currie from the famous band recently decided that they should extend a helping hand and a useful word for the rapidly rising star that is Lady GaGa. Joan Jett had this to say for the pop star: “I’ll tell you, The Runaways, when we started, we didn’t have this sort of craziness around us. Really the only time when there was insanity, as far as the press goes, was Japan … it wasn’t a 24-hour media world at that point. I think it’s very difficult if you had to be dealing with this all the time. It’s tough to incubate and do the work you need to do with people in your face.” Maybe telling Lady GaGa that she draws way to much attention to herself in a more straightforward way might prove a bit more productive. Maybe The Runaways could try to write a song about it to at least make it a little subtle.
