Leona Lewis gets 100k budget to perform on Simon Cowell’s new show Red or Black
Music mogul Simon Cowell has reportedly given Leona Lewis a £100,000 budget to perform her latest single, Collide, on the first episode of his new British TV show, Red or Black. The 51-year-old wants to get the gameshow off to a flying start and has splashed out the cash to enable Lewis, 26, to give a stunning performance. A source told British newspaper the Daily Mirror: “Leona has been given a £100k budget for the production. “She has hired Kylie Minogue’s best friend, William Baker, to design for her and her dancers, and the set backdrop will be spectacular. “It will be her first major public performance of Collide and she is incredibly excited.”

Leona Lewis is afraid of Simon Cowell
And she very well should be, even though not more than a few days ago she was bragging about how Simon Cowell always listens to her, but apparently that was just a façade for the Earl of Exigency’s true nature. This is what Leona Lewis said on the matter: “He didn’t come to the studio but I’d play him songs down the phone. It’s scary and you think, ‘Please like it!’ We’ve formed more of a bond and we can be honest with each other.” Simon Cowell truly is the maker and breaker of great stars and Leona Lewis does well to remember that. After all, with just the point of a finger he might bump her back to trying out for The X Factor.
Angelina Jolie treats son Maddox to iPod Touch
It seems that the British singer has recently discovered just how exciting Los Angeles actually is. While stopping for coffee with her agent, Leona Lewis was apparently caught up in the middle of a police chase and arrest. This is what Leona Lewis related about the event: “It was really frightening. One minute we were stopping for drinks, the next there was police and guns everywhere. It came completely out of the blue and was absolutely terrifying. I really thought the guys might start shooting. I was shaking like a leaf afterwards.” Oh come on, surely she must’ve felt something more. After all of those years of living in good old Britain it was probably nice for her to finally see some excitement.
Leona Lewis can handle herself
After getting a bit of bleeding love from a supposed fan of hers a while back, Leona Lewis seems to feel the need to share the fact that she can handle herself in a fight without too many problems given the part of London where she grew up. Leona Lewis said: “I’m from Hackney, so I’m hard. I’m not going to let something like that bother me. When you grow up where I did you learn to move on. There was always some kind of craziness going on in my neighborhood. The boys were always fighting each other and there was loads of street crime. I know how to look after myself. The part of London where I grew up has the highest crime rates in the country.” Sure, Leona Lewis made a perfect example of that when she ran away crying after she got punched… really hardcore stuff!
