Lilly Allen is finished with making music records, according to her new blog.
The singer has written on her anti-piracy website that she will not make a follow-up to this year’s hit CD It’s Not Me, It’s You.
She recently revealed she would be starring in a stage production of Neil LaBute’s Reasons To Be Pretty and would not “record and tour again for a while”.
Now, writing on her It’s Not Alright blog, she said she would not be profiting from any change in copyright legislation as she is finished with recording music.
She wrote: “Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record (applause).
“I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade.”
She added: “The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I’m concerned, so I don’t (at this point) stand to profit from legislation.
“Except future purchases of previously recorded material (which wont be much).”
The model is apparently very hung up on becoming a musician… probably even more now that her husband has instituted his recent boycott on her singing. So, in light of these circumstances Kate Moss is apparently begging Lily Allen to allow her to sing on her upcoming album. A source stated the following about Kate Moss’ wishes: “Kate is obsessed with becoming a rock star. She’s desperate to persuade Lily to include her on a new album. Lily adores Kate and it seems like she’d do anything she suggests. They say they’re like sisters as they’ve got so much in common.” In that case, it seems like we’re looking at a possible Lily Allen/Kate Moss duet here. Hopefully, this move will not damage Lily Allen’s career… too much.
The singer has recently received the opportunity to appear on the famous Australian show and, guess what, she jumped straight at it. A source said the following about Lily Allen’s new “gig”: “Lily is delighted – she can’t wait. She has been telling all her friends. She can’t quite believe she’ll take a turn on Ramsay Street and meet the stars of the show in person. Her role is pretty straight forward and she will only have a few lines.” Lily Allen is that excited over a few lines in a show? She must really be lacking public attention lately… a state of affairs with which all artists cope with very hard nowadays. Next thing you know she’ll start bragging on an on about getting adds and other some such things.
The singer has recently revealed her new fitness trick: Bikram yoga. Lily Allen’s new exercise routine consists of contortion exercises performed at 105 Fahrenheit. Apparently it’s done her a world of good, as a source relates: “She does the intense 90-minute workout twice a week. She’s really pleased with her new figure and it has landed her a modeling deal with Chanel.” So this is how Lily Allen can get out of her little financial mishaps: slightly boiling herself alive while trying to bend her bones like rubber. Talk about innovation. And ever more so, Lily Allen does this for 90 minutes straight, twice a week. Alas, if she doesn’t stop, she will probably melt away into oblivion.
Lily Allen who had apparently stopped drinking last year after she embarrassed herself on stage with Sir Elton John at a British awards show, now admits she’s fallen off the wagon.
She’s out on tour promoting her new album, and, according to her says that if she doesn’t drink she can’t get up on stage. In a recent interview, Allen tells the UK’s Sun:
“Yep, I am drinking again. Last night I had my first drink. There’s no way I can get on stage without a drink. I think I’m funnier when I’ve had a few. I didn’t find it difficult to stop drinking, I didn’t even think about it. I haven’t really needed a drink but now I’m on tour, it’s fun drinking sometimes. But some things have changed. I’m not drinking any cheap stuff now – only expensive wine will do this time. I’ve gone upmarket.”
Lily Allen and Lindsay Lohan were spotted together. Rumor has it they are working on a duet for Linday’s new album. Apparently the name of the song is Wherever You Go. Who would have thought that these two party girls would be working on a song together. Lily must be really desperate. I have never really been a fan of Lily but I definitely saw her more of an ‘artist’ than Lindsay. Do you think the song will be an instant hit? Probably not. On a side note they both seemed to be having a good time in this shot.
Despite rumored VISA problems, Lily Allen is in LA and shooting a music video for her next single. She was apparently detained for five hours after coming from Australia, and had her VISA taken away due to an violent incident with teh paparazzi. Of course her rep denies all of this.
I never thought of it before, but it takes time to get applications for work visa’s in other countries. I love how stars get them usually pretty incident free and in a very timely fashion! Another reason why someone would want to be a celebrity.
