Vanessa Hudgen’s is on the cover of the May 2009 issue of Self Magazine. She also has a starring role in a new film named, Bandslam.

Here’s just five of the 25 things in the May 2009 issue of Self Magazine that she shares with her fans.

On one of her fave celebs: “I’m in love with Angelina Jolie. Everything she does, I adore.”

On her favorite animal: “I love snakes. I think they’re sexy. Not in the wild, of course, but pet snakes.”

On where she wants to take her acting career: “I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s ass. I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody.”

On the craziest she’s ever eaten: “A fruit bat — specialty in the Seychelles islands. They cooked it in red wine. It was really, really dark, grainy meat. It was quite frightening.”

On what her dad passed down to her: “I have really strong legs. I inherited them from my dad, who has tree stumps for legs, basically. I’ve got big calves that look good. When I wear heels, it looks like I’ve worked out my legs a lot, which is why I love them. I also have a big, big big toe. I call it my goat toe. I can climb anything.”

It’s not profound stuff, then again, what can a 20 year old from California that’s grown up doing Disney movies have to say? She’s young, and I don’t think she has any profound political views yet, though as she matures, it will be interesting to read more of what she has to say. I’m looking forward to her doing action film, I think that would be a great direction for her to go in, especially with her big ‘goat toe’ enabling her to climb anything !!

Vanessa’s on-and-off-screen boyfriend, Zac Efron, is on the May 2009 cover of GQ.

Motley Crue bandmate Nikki Sixx was out and about with LA Ink’s Kat Von D. The couple have been together for a year now and still seem crazy in love. This picture snapped by the paparazzi was taken when they were having coffee together the other day in Malibu.

Just this past February, Nikki apologized for making a female fan cry at one of the band’s concerts, after admitting that the bottle the fan threw back at him was the very same one he threw to the audience.

He introduced the band’s next song on stage and then tossed a plastic water bottle out to the fans. The same bottle was then thrown back at the stage, almost hitting him.

Nikki might be the subject of a cold case that may be re-opened thanks to a recent interview by another of his bandmates.

In a new Hustler magazine interview, drummer Tommy Lee talked about the band’s early days – when they used to hang out at the club Whisky a Go Go. He opened up a 25-year-old mystery that left a police officer’s car soaked with urine.

Lee said:

“There was this unmanned cop car parked in the alley behind the Whisky, and Nikki picked up this stick and smashed in the f—ing window. He took a piss inside the f—ing cop car.”

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department told WENN:

“It’s not clear whether this is still an open case or whether the officer involved closed it out. If it’s still open, it will be investigated.”

UsWeekly asked Stevie Nicks frontwoman for the band Fleetwood Mac what her thoughts were about Lindsay Lohan playing her in a movie, Stevie said:

“Over my dead body. She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.”

Stevie struggled hard to get clean and went through two stays in Betty Ford to kick coke and Klonopin so it makes sense to me why wouldn’t want Lindsay whose behaviour lately has been way too erratic to play her. In fact, the “…Then maybe we’ll talk” is more than reasonable to me.

Paris Hilton’s younger bro, Barron Hilton, partied with Snoop Dogg and Leven Rambin in New York City yesterday. Leven is currently starring in, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Barron, who is 19, told Page Six that he’s pursuing a career in music and has already begun recording tracks at his apartment:

“I want to be an international singer-songwriter,I’m sick of all the Hilton stuff, where all anyone cared about was whether I was doing coke in the bathroom or how many b—— I was sleeping with. I’m done with partying and traveling. It’s time to get this s— started.”

Barron also told about how he is developing a reality show with Viacom:

“It’s gonna be like The Hills, but real,” he says. “A lot of that stuff is pre-setup or re-setup. This is gonna show the meetings, the production side, the recording side . . . I just want people to say, ‘Wow, this song really moved me, or made me cry.’ “

Well if he’s done with traveling, how does he intend on becoming an international artist?

Complex has called Kanye West “The Most Influential Brand In The Universe.”

Kanye tells Complex his thoughts on why people are curious about his sexuality:

“I really think it’s because society tries to dictate the way a guy is supposed to dress and the way a guy is supposed to act, and I refuse to conform. A lot of these dudes would never be accused of being gay just because they all look exactly alike. If people could just realize the amount of mundaneness and followers that lack creativity… I think people’s mentality is like, Only gay people are that creative. And it’s true there are a lot of gay people who are incredible creative minds, but there are straight people who are incredible creative minds—and there’s gay people who can’t dress or create at all, too. Closed-minded gay people probably say they dress ‘straight.’”

Be-jeweling and dazzling your eyes isn’t something handsome men do. They don’t have a faux-facade.

It seems to me that lately all his influences or inspirations seem to come from a lot of jokes… at his expense. This photo looks as if he got flour-bombed by PETA.

Kelly Clarkson is on the cover of the April 2009 issue of Blender magazine. My question to the magazine is “why would a magazine ask such dumb questions?” I’ll have to check out the issue to make sure they talked about her album while they were discussing her urinary habits and nudity.

Interestingly enough, she didn’t seem to be offended at all by these questions. That is what makes her so …. oddly normal!

Here are some tidbits from the interview:

On peeing in the shower:

“Anybody who says they don’t is lying.”

On taking pleasure in walking around naked:

“I’m the kinda person who just doesn’t like clothes.”

On blowing her nose and then checking the tissue to see what color the snot is:

“I mean, if you have a cold, you have to check, to see how sick you are.”

On the essence of her appeal:

“The thing with me, and my audience in particular is, people look at me like a sister or a daughter. It’s not like people look at me as unattainable, some kind of star like that. People love the ‘real’ factor that’s involved, I think.”

On being an open book and willing to “talk about anything”:

“I do not lie. Ever. I will tell my girlfriend if she looks fat in her jeans… When you don’t make yourself clear or heard, that’s where trouble starts. And that’s something I learned as a child. No one is going to know what you feel unless you tell them.”

Taylor Swift is on the cover of the March 2009 of Rolling Stone.

The article’s caption reads, “The world’s biggest new pop star is a little bit country, a little bit rock & roll, and all control freak.”

Nashville’s little princess took to her blog to talk about how honored she is to be on the famed magazine’s cover. She said:

“I’m so excited, I can’t even stand it. It’s on news stands now, and I haven’t seen it yet because I’m in London, but I just can’t believe I get to be on the cover of Rolling Stone. Wow. This is crazy.”

I’m not loving her hairstyle for the cover photo as it’s normally so sleek and shiny, but whatever, she’s a talented girl and it’s nice to see she’s thrilled and excited to be recognized.

Kanye recently did an interview with Details Magazine and shared his thoughts on a few topics. I don’t know that many of his hits off the top of my head, just one, Gold digger comes to mind, so I think his statement about his cultural impact might be over the top. He really needs to talk with the little people, the ones who are outside of his life bubble. If he did, he may be stunned when he realizes he isn’t that important to them!

I wonder… could it be possible he’s pulling a Joaquin Phoenix and switching gears in his career? Either that or he may be living on another planet from the rest of us who really don’t ‘get him’ and all his wonderousness.

Here are a few snippets from the interview, enjoy all you Kanye fans:

Kanye Wants To Focus On Fashion Since He’s Mastered Music:

“Put this in the magazine: There’s nothing more to be said about music. I’m the fucking end-all, be-all of music. I know what I’m doing. I did 808s in three weeks. I got it. It’s on cruise control. . . . Man, we talked about music for God knows how long! Now let’s talk about how my fucking sweater didn’t come back right from Korea. That’s what’s interesting me.”

Kanye On How He Has Contributed To Our Generation:

“If not me, then who? Someone could be a better rapper, dance better. But culturally impacting*? When you look back at these four and a half years, who’s the icon at the end of the day? Who broke down color barriers? What other black guy would a white person use as a fashion reference?”

Kanye’s Opinion on “that’s so gay” Is In His Opinion A Compliment:

“Titles are very important. I like to embody titles, y’know, or words that have negative connotations, and explain why that’s good. Take the word gay—like, in hip-hop, that’s a negative thing, right? But in the past two, three years, all the gay people I’ve encountered have been, like, really, really, extremely dope. Y’know, I haven’t, like, gone to a gay bar, nor do I ever plan to. But where I would talk to a gay person—the conversation would be mostly around, like, art or design—it’d be really dope. From a design standpoint, kids’ll say, ‘Dude, those pants are gay.’ But if it’s, like, good, good, good fashion-level, design-level stuff, where it’s on a higher level than the average commercial design stuff, it’s, like, gay people that do that. I think that should be said as a compliment. Like, ‘Dude, that’s so good it’s almost . . . gay.’”

Check out the latest picture of BSB Nick Carter. Boy is looking fine.

Nick was diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition eight months ago. Here’s what he had to say about his new life style changes and it’s very obvious that good clean living agrees with him.

On the Hollywood scene party scene and all-night clubbing:

“I would get tired because we were partying so much, so I would do a bump [of cocaine] just to wake myself up. I would be that person who would stay at these clubs till the lights come on and they’re playing, ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.’ People are looking at me going, ‘Is that Nick Carter?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, it’s me gacked up.’”

On being diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (a buildup of toxins in his heart, weakening the muscle so that had difficulty pumping blood):

“My doctor said, ‘You need to change your lifestyle. I don’t want you to end up like that.’ I was like, ‘I don’t want to end up like that either.’”

On getting his life back on track:

“I’m trying to make myself better. But I don’t regret anything that I’ve gone through, because it makes me who I am.”

On his new sweetie, a sales clerk he’s been dating for the past few months: “I don’t believe in marriage [but I see myself starting a family] someday, a little ways down the line.”

On his two-story, colonial-style home just outside Nashville:

“I had to get away from the temptations [in L.A.].”

Here he is showing his abs back last year in concert, he seems way more buff now.

Lily Allen who had apparently stopped drinking last year after she embarrassed herself on stage with Sir Elton John at a British awards show, now admits she’s fallen off the wagon.

She’s out on tour promoting her new album, and, according to her says that if she doesn’t drink she can’t get up on stage. In a recent interview, Allen tells the UK’s Sun:

“Yep, I am drinking again. Last night I had my first drink. There’s no way I can get on stage without a drink. I think I’m funnier when I’ve had a few. I didn’t find it difficult to stop drinking, I didn’t even think about it. I haven’t really needed a drink but now I’m on tour, it’s fun drinking sometimes. But some things have changed. I’m not drinking any cheap stuff now – only expensive wine will do this time. I’ve gone upmarket.”
