The Gap had contemplated removing smiling portraits of Jennifer Hudson from their new holiday ads campaign after the tragedy of her losing 3 of her family members this past October 24th. The photos were taken this past July due to her hectic work schedule, but she insisted on going through with the campaign. The new print, store and billboard ads were revealed this past Thursday. The above photo is one of the images.

Olivia Doyne, director of engagement marketing and public relations for Gap, said Friday:

“We felt that it was really important first and foremost to respect what she wanted to do, so as long as she felt comfortable with her campaign being out there, we felt comfortable.”

The bodies of Jennifer’s 57-year-old mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson, were found in the family’s Chicago home. The body of her 7-year-old nephew Julian King — the son of Hudson’s sister Julia — was discovered three days later in a car on Chicago’s West Side.

No charges have been filed to date although a person of interest remains in jail on parole violations unrelated to the murders.

Demi Lovato who is one of Entertainment Weekly’s 2008’s Breakout Stars is seen her striking a pose. She along with Robert Pattinson, Russell Brand, Estelle, Tristan Wilds, and David Cook were among the others who made the list.

Demi told EW that acting is something she is passionate since it stimulates her mind. She’ll always have a love of :“Music comes naturally, but acting is a mind challenge and I have a huge passion for it.”

Demi will show us if she has what it takes to be an actress when the Disney channel airs the new series, Sonny With a Chance, sometime in February of 2009. She most definitely is a talented singer, and perhaps a little bit of an undiscovered and unexplored talent for acting.

She needs time and the right projects to challenge herself with, and find out what inspires her. I’m not sure that Sonny with a Chance or PPP are those projects, but they are stepping stones in the right direction!

Doesn’t Britney look like her old self on December’s cover of Australian Cosmo? The reason why she does is because the pictures are 5 years old! The photos were taken for an article that was done in Esquire Magazine in 2003. The lovely photography was done by James White.

I’m thinking that the Aussies saw the photo-shoot fiasco that happened with OKAY magazine - the one where she showed up with a posse of her people, ordered greasy take-out fried chicken, wiped the grease on the clothes she was set to use. Remember it now? She refused to use their makeup artist, took off before the shoot was finished and helped herself to the clothes and the jewelry!

OKAY ended up with nothing but aggravation. I believe they ended up using older photos also. The Aussies must have decided that it was easier to just to use some previously taken pictures and voila… this is the result.

Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend Tony Romo have been together for almost a year. He seems to have had quite an impact on her life and her feelings about love. She sat down for an interview with Cosmopolitan for the December issue which hits stands November 11th and talked about their relationship and what he means to her:

“I’d always fall for guys I wanted to save… for the first time, I fell in love with someone who saved me.” Saved her from ….? Why didn’t she explain herself? Why be so vague?!

I hadn’t realized Nick Lachey, Adam Levine from Maroon 5, or John Mayer wanted to be saved… and again I ask myself what she meant? Saved from what? This savior attitude she had going on is probably why those relationships ended.

She went on to say about her future with Tony: “I think any person who I’m gonna date for longer than six months, I definitely am investing in something long-term. If I get married again, then it will be the last time.”

Her marriage to Nick lasted only 3 years, from 2002 to 2005. Is that why she left him… because she couldn’t get the job done? She says Nick:

“will always be a part of my life, but next time, I’m marrying the right one.”

I don’t remember reading anything from Nick on their relationship and marriage breakdown. I wish she would have remained silent about him as well. She seems to have taken one too many digs at him, and it’s uncalled for since he’s been so respectful of her since things ended between them.

Victoria Beckham was snapped by photographers at LAX on her way to catch a flight to London on Sunday. For being a 34 year old mum of 3, she looks great! What I did notice about her after watching her show is that she also seems to be a genuinely good person. No news reports of her ever doing any excessive drinking, drugs/rehab, going commando or showing her private bits. She doesn’t sleep around with different men. She has been married for over 10 years and seems to take her marriage vows seriously as she and her hubby are still together despite the bad press with regards to him cheating on her awhile back.

She recently told the U.K. edition of Glamour: “I’m not pregnant, and I’m not trying to get pregnant at the moment I’m so lucky to have the boys (Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6; and Cruz, 3) and they’re such great kids. Nice, free spirits and incredibly polite, which I think is very important.”

She went on to say:

“It takes a lot of energy, and the thought of having another baby now would be a little bit much. Maybe in a year or two but right now, I’m having amazing career opportunities and I want to enjoy the boys.”

Selena Gomez talked with TV Guide for their upcoming issue recently and tried to dispel the rumours about her dating Nick Jonas.

She sort of dealt with it, but not really:
“I’ve gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year,” she tells the magazine. “Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we’re not confirming anything.”

She also insisted that “there’s no feud” between her and fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus. The YouTube clip that triggered the rumors: “was completely blown out of proportion. That video was ages ago, and it’s so irrelevant and not important to everything else going on.”

She left a not so subtle hint to all her Disney fans reminding them she has her faults just like other teens her age: “I’m going to do the best that I can do, but I am 16 and I am going to make mistakes – no one’s perfect.”

She also talked about Transformers star Shia LaBeouf:

“I’ve had a crush on him ever since he was on Even Stevens,” Gomez admits. “It’s very far-fetched, but I would love to have Shia on Wizards.”

She has said that making High School Musical was very much like high school even though she traded her real educational experience to be part of Disney’s most famous class of kids:

“It’s sad,” she says. “This is our last time doing a movie together, and we love each other so much.” “We really grew up together. We can be free when we’re around one another, and the amount of fun we have is ridiculous.”

John Mayer recently told the paps that he was the one who ended his very publicized romance with Jennifer Aniston and it now seems the paparazzi are no longer as interested in him since he is flying solo.

An unnamed source told MSNBC’s The Scoop that John has been calling the paps to tip them off on where he’s going to be but they don’t care. The source said:

“He thinks he’s famous as Jen now. Last week he went to a party, tipped off the paps, and even had decoy cars at the ready when he was leaving. Nice, but no one bothered to follow them, which made John think he ‘lost’ everyone, when really no one bothered to follow him.”    That doesn’t surprise me at all.  I always wondered how the press were there so conveniently when he put on that Borat-style kini and posed for pics.

Anyways…

One paparazzi said the bottom line is about the moolah. An exclusive picture of Mayer and Aniston sold for big bucks, around $20,000.  A picture of Mayer solo is only worth $200.00 from a magazine.

If this is true, it won’t be long before he ends up dating another celeb. So we’ll have to wait and see.

Hilary Duff told the Allure magazine about her tiff back in the day with Avril: “I said something about about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody.”

I think Hilary is one of the nicest girls in Hollywood. Even though I don’t know her at all, she just seems like she has a level head on her shoulders. It is odd that Allure magazine would ask Hilary about Avril because that fight was so long ago. Poor Hil, she got in a b*tch fight with Lindsay and Avril all in the same few years.

I think it is because Avril and Lindsay are hating that Hilary Duff has such loyal fans. ; )
