Joaquin Phoenix has shocked his movie fans by quitting his acting career to become a rapper.
Check out the video clip of his wacked out performance.
“This is me saying this is who I am. This is my story,” Phoenix told People at Las Vegas club LAVO.
“After all the years of reading scripts and reading lines, this is my chance to do something straight from the heart and put it out there,” he said. “When I was young I liked punk rock music but then I discovered rap. I love the storytelling aspect of hip-hop.”
He’s been appearing in a disheveled state and has been described as looking, ‘bizarre’, ‘unkempt’, and ‘worse-for-wear’ in recent weeks. The former hottie has grown a beard and his hair into a shabby style.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Casey Affleck, brother of film actor Ben Affleck is directing a documentary about Joaquin Phoenix’s transition from actor to musician.
His brother River Pheonix died from a drug overdose.

Zac Efron supplied his singing talents to Adult Swim’s ‘Robot Chicken’ for an episode, in a parody of Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man.’
Warning Strong Adult Content
Seth Green && Matthew Senreich’s Emmy Award Winning stop motion animated series on Cartoon Network’s late night Adult Swim that airs in the U.S. I find it obnoxiously rude, crass, but others I know find it hilarious.
They’ve parodied Hannah Montana, and now they’ve gone after Billy Joel? It seems HSM’s goody-two-shoes is saying ciao to his ’squeaky-clean’ image.
Leona Lewis is pictured here getting handcuffed by a police officer on the set of her latest music video “I Will Be” . The pop rock ballad will be produced by Dr. Luke and was co-written by Avril Lavigne and Max Martin. It was filmed in Brooklyn on Friday.
This will be Leona’s third single off her debut album, Spirit.
Chace Crawford, one of the stars of Gossip Girl will make a cameo in the video. A source told People how the two of them met:
“Chace went to London a couple months ago for meetings and to promote Gossip Girl. He went to a party and ended up meeting Leona. [The two] hit it off and talk every once in a while and have become fast friends… A couple weeks ago Leona called Chace and asked if he would be in her next video. He obviously said yes.”
The song was originally recorded by Avril a couple of years ago and is included on the Limited Edition version of her third studio album, The Best Damn Thing.
Hilary Duff is Maxim’s cover girl and she is setting the record straight on some of the rumours written about her.
on her lap dance talents, relationship status, and what she has and has not said about her sex life.
She tells Maxim Magazine’s January 2009 that she never claimed to be a virgin, as was written in 2006:
“You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that. That’s nobody’s business but my own.”
She goes on to clarify:
“I’ve been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs,” she says. “I mean, little ol’ me? It’s shocking… And they’re so descriptive about these lap dances. I don’t even know how to do a lap dance!”
She talks about her sexy new music video for the single Reach Out:
“I was ready to do something different. The intent was not to be overtly sexual; I’m not naked. I do have little shorts on in it.”
And on her much talked about engagement to hockey player boyfriend Mike Comrie:
“I’m a relationship person. Now it’s all over the Internet that I’m getting engaged to my boyfriend. The truth is, I just like to wear rings!”
Here is a clip of Madonna falling on her well-toned fine a** in Rio. It’s the little embarrassing moments in life that for most of us who aren’t celebrities don’t get recorded on Youtube. Skip to about the 0:35 mark in the video below to watch her beautiful butt cheeks hit the floor. If the diva that she is had taken off those heart-shaped sunglasses, she would have seen the damn water on the stage!
In other Madonna related news, she paid off her ex-husband Guy Ritchie 76 million to finalize their divorce. They still need to work out custody arrangements of their two sons, but have agreed to call a truce and celebrate Christmas together in England.
Miley Cyrus’s YouTube account was hacked earlier today, making this the second time she’s been hacked. The picture used here was from the first stunt.
With this latest hacking a new video was posted saying that she had been killed which makes it far more disturbing. It was up for awhile before finally being taken down. It managed to upset many of her young fans who had to search around to see if it was true, and then finding out it wasn’t and that she was alive.
The video description said:
“Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. She always told us if anything ever happened to her then tell her loyal fans first before the public. R.I.P Miley, we’ll never forget you!

John appeared at LA City Hall last Thursday to make a public plea for the Los Angeles City Council to begin regulating the paparazzi. Officials there were in talks about imposing restrictions on them. John had this to say:
“I don’t sit before you today to ask that you ban the paparazzi,” Mayer, 30, said in his testimony. “I’m asking you to regulate it. Officialize it. Tax it. Legitimize it.”
Check out his website as he goes into detail and shares his thoughts and suggestions and it is apparent he has put some thought into how to address the problem of aggressive paparazzi:
– Enforcing “an acceptable distance” between the photographers and their subject:
“A law governing an acceptable filming distance from an unwilling subject keeps everybody safe and misbehavior becomes accountable,” Mayer testified. “Without know who is following you, you do not know why you are being followed, which
brings about a very really possibility of suffering harm.”
He also suggested :
a “big white P on a yellow license plate [that] says the driver works for an accredited photo agency,” as well as “press credentials worn in plain sight.”
