Ashlee Simpson must have decided that blondes don’t have more fun since her days of being one didn’t last long.

Here she is pictured at Luxe nightclub in Hollywood last night with flowing red locks. Must have been a girl’s night out as Ashlee and her friend spent the evening with her sister Jessica Simpson.

Wonder if daddy Pete was home looking after the wee babe? He’s just a month old now. It’s a bit surprising that she has been out clubbing recently. She and Pete just hosted a New Year’s Eve bash in Vegas and now… a little over a week later, out again!

Diddy is offering free cab rides to New Yorkers this New Year’s Eve .

Diddy and Ciroc premium vodka have teamed up with City Taxi & Limousine Commission and E! Entertainment to distribute thousands of debit cards, valued up to $15.

Diddy had this to say:
“New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve City, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely.”

Teams will distribute the debit cards on the streets, in the Times Square and Chelsea’s nightclub areas between 11PM on New Year’s Eve and 3AM on New Year’s Day.

Pete Wentz talked to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show this morning and explained why he and Ashley named their baby boy Bronx Mowgli Wentz.

He said:

“I feel weird—people have all these ideas of what it means now. I think it’s kind of cool to leave the narrative the way it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever…I don’t think anybody knows the real story of why or how. We came up with the idea Bronx, we’d been throwing it back and forth a while ago. The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s really cool.”

He feels weird? What is that child going to feel like when he gets teased and you know he will. Kids are cruel!

I feel sorry for him because of his atrocious grammar:

“something me and Ashlee bonded over”

At least they didn’t name the child ‘Baloo!’

Pete Wentz revealed in an interview he did with Playboy magazine that he and Ashlee are fairly certain they are having a baby boy (not twins as has been the rumour) this fall:

“We know with 90 percent accuracy that it’s a boy and our due date is around Thanksgiving. We don’t have any names yet. My friend Andrew said, ‘Your kid has to have a name that would fit either a rock star or a senator.’”

He also told of his struggle with depression:

“As a kid I always went to therapists; the first time was when my parents were separated on my sixth birthday, then on and off since then. I was diagnosed with ADD.”

Pete also discussed his overdose with his anxiety medication back in February 2005:

“It had more to do with being depressed. I wasn’t thinking of killing myself. I’ve never really called it a suicide attempt. I just wanted my head to be completely turned off. I took a handful of Ativan.”

Pete even talked about his famous sister-in-law, Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend, professional football player Tony Romo:

“I like Tony a lot. He’s a rad dude, and we’re both into Guns n’ Roses. Magazines always like to use pictures of us together: ‘Tony wears Nikes, but Pete’s checking out Balenciaga bags.”

He seems to be very happy, in love, and eagerly waiting the arrival of their new baby. Hopefully the stress of becoming a new father won’t be too much for him and their new marriage. I always wonder why newlyweds get pregnant so soon. Marriage is such a big step why not take some time to really get to know each other and see what it’s like living together before adding a new baby? Oh well… guess they’ll be finding out soon enough… hopefully they are both banking up on their sleep before the baby arrives!

We all knew something was up when rocker boy Pete Wentz proposed to Ashlee Simpson. Everyone expected pregnancy rumors but reps kept denying. After the wedding on Saturday Ashlee annouced that she was 4 months pregnant! How exciting? More celebuspawns to be had. I wonder if the baby will have Ash’s old nose!

Wentz has joined diva Mary J. Blige and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan to front the Jed Foundation’s Half Of Us campaign, focusing on reducing student suicide deaths.
Wentz, Blige and Corgan sat down for interviews,where they talked about their lowest moments. The interviews appear on MTV’s college channel mtvU.

Pete confessed the following:

“I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen’s (song) Hallelujah and sat there and took a bunch of (prescription drug) Adavan in a Best Buy (store) parking lot.
“And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Adavan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital.
“I came home and we realised that we needed to do more than just keep (my) head above water. It’s not really about keeping your head above water, it’s about feeling all right and feeling safe in your own skin. It’s not about keeping your head above water and barely keep going.”

That sounds like a really sad memory for him to recall and reveal to others. Pete said he’s only telling the story now, because he wants to help other young people.

It’s nice to see he’s recovered and in love with Ashley. Hopefully his and the others’ stories of their experiences with depression will reach out and touch others going through some difficult times and encourage them to seek out some help.

Ashlee Simpson performed at Lax and brought along her bf Pete Wentz. I am not feeling Ashlee’s new hair color, but Pete on the other hand is actually looking somewhat sexy. It looks like the two of them went at it with the flat iron. Why when I straighten my hair does it never go as flat as Ashlee’s. Mine is straight, but not flat like that! I guess my hair just has too much volume and it sort of looks like I put my finger in a socket.

I love her blonde, I really can’t stand her with the darker hair she recently unveiled. I hope Pete Wentz isn’t rubbing off on her too much. I was really digging the new glam look she had.

Anyway this picture was obviously taken before the dye job but it still does look hot.

Ashlee Simpson was spotted walking hand in hand with beau Pete Wentz while she showed off a new hair color. I personally don’t like the darker hair on her, she looks amazing as a blonde and should stay that way. Pete looks either hammered or drugged out. Lets just hope it is a bad angle or he is just sleepy. I can’t wait to see some more pictures of Ashlee’s hair. I give her a month and she will then dye it back.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz hosted a New Years party last night, and might I say don’t they look cute together?

I haven’t seen a young Hollywood couple look so happy in awhile. It is almost as if they are fake cute? I wonder if they are hiding up troubles with copious amounts of PDA…?

Let’s hope not, but we will keep our eye on them.
