Actress Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick are set to host a charity treasure hunt through the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Sarah, 46, and Matthew, 49, will host A Little Jurassic Treasure Hunt, which will be held on October 3. The event will raise funds for Friends in Deed, a charity dedicated to providing support to individuals dealing with life-threatening illnesses and their loved ones. After a cocktail reception and the treasure hunt, Barbara Cook and Raul Esparza will perform composer Stephen Sondheim’s songs during a dinner reception.

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that her style icons include Kate Middleton and supermodel Kate Moss. The Sex And The City star said in a Twitter web chat for UK magazine Glamour that she likes the way the 29-year-old Duchess of Cambridge and Moss, 37, dress. Asked who her style icons are, the 46-year-old actress said: “So many. Ingrid Bergman and the way Kate Moss dresses and the Duchess of Cambridge.” The I Don’t Know How She Does It star added that she hopes that American designers will take more risks. She said: “British fashion is more risky, but we have some emerging American designers that seem inspired in that direction.”

Sarah Jessica Parker parts ways with US fashion label
Sarah Jessica Parker is expected to receive a $3m payout for her stake in a failing fashion label. The Sex And The City star is ditching her contract with design house Halston, which would have entitled her to nearly $10m over the next three-and-a-half years, according to the New York Post. Parker, who had been designing a lower-price line called Halston Heritage, has now reportedly agreed to accept $3m for her ownership stake in the failing firm, as well as an exit from the remainder of her contract. “She was tired of all the conflict,” a source told the New York Post. “Sarah felt that she has the opportunity to do a lot more with herself, and make a lot more money in the process, if she goes elsewhere.” The actress is not alone in jumping ship from Halston, according to the US newspaper. Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein is also reportedly selling his stake, which had approached 10 per cent, for between $1m and $1.5m. Fashion sources have claimed that Halston has been rocked this year by arguments between Weinstein and executives at Hilco, a Chicago-based liquidation firm that took control of Halston in 2007 in a $25m buyout. “There have been a lot of screaming matches,” a Halston insider told the New York Post. “They really couldn’t agree on too much — the management team, expenses, the company’s structure.” Chief financial officer Jeff Green declined to comment.

Actress Kim Cattrall has admitted it was difficult to date after writing her sex book. The 54-year-old star got divorced from her third husband Mark Levinson in 2004 and she admitted on the Ellen DeGeneres show that it is hard to date guys. She said: “I’m trying, it’s very difficult.” However the star said it may have been the nature of the book she wrote that put men off. She said: “Writing a book about the female orgasm didn’t help my dating career either.” DeGeneres, 53, said she thought Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm, might have helped her get a date. Cattrall added: “You would think so, but men like to think that they know it all, especially in that department.”

Despite being jeered by audience members, Velour has one admirer — a young man who is obsessed with the over-the-hill dancer and who tries to help her, after he finds her living in a trailer park.

Sarah Jessica Parker: ‘I want third Sex and the City movie’
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker has said she is definitely up for a third ‘Sex and the City’ film. The 45-year-old, who is currently filming new flick I Don’t Know How She Does It, wants to star in another instalment of the film series. She told the LA Times newspaper: “I would go back. I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is. “I’d definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael Patrick King [the show's writer] would do it right. But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?” But before she gets involved in another SATC movie, she wants to challenge herself with other projects. Parker added: “If I’m not scared again that’s not good for me. “That’s literally no good for me. If I’m not terrified and nauseous and worried the first two weeks of production, then what’s going to happen? You could wither on the vine.” Recently there have been reports that there could be a Sex and the City prequel about a 20-something Carrie arriving in New York, but Parker wasn’t sure about that idea. She added: “I was like, ‘Wha-a-a-a-t?’. “I don’t think we can pretend to go back. It’s creating two histories.

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall is set to appear in a new ad campaign for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! The actress, 54, will take on a Samantha-like character in the ads where she will be placed with a number of good-looking men and delicious goods as she makes some suggestive comments. She said: “Enjoying I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! is kind of like finding a deliciously gorgeous man, and then discovering he’s single. “That’s the spirit that we’re playing with in this campaign – we’re showing women they can have it all – delicious taste, with fewer calories and less fat than butter.” Cattrall’s ads will start airing in March.

Kristin Davis ready for third SATC film
Actress Kristin Davis said she is ready for a third Sex and the City movie in the future. While at The Oxfam Party at Esquire House, Los Angeles, she told British newspaper the Daily Mirror she would love to star in another flick. The 45-year-old, who plays who Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the television and film series, said: “There are no plans that I know of but I would love to do a third film. “We all want to do it, I guess it’s just figuring out whether it’s the right thing to do and if we can move the characters forward any more.” In the meantime Davis has been keeping herself busy with other projects. She added: “I’m working on a new show at the moment for ABC, it’s a sitcom, we’re writing a script at the moment and it’s from a book called The Happiness Project. “I will definitely be in it but I don’t know about the rest of the Sex and the City girls.”

Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall said the downside of fame is when drunks demand pictures with her. The actress usually likes meeting people but sometimes doesn’t enjoy it if the people become too aggressive. She told British Live magazine: “I try not to be rude to fans but I need to have boundaries. “Recently I was enjoying a quiet lunch in Liverpool with a friend I haven’t seen in a long while, this guy approaches our table, clearly the worse for drink. She added: “He says, ‘C’mon, stand up – I want a photo with you,’ my response was, ‘I won’t do it, I’m not working right now, this is my time.’ “I don’t like to be put in a position where I’m made to feel like I’ve just arrived in Disneyland dressed as Mickey Mouse and my duty is to pose with complete strangers.” The 54-year-old beauty also admitted she originally turned down her famous role as Samantha Jones in SATC because she thought it wasn’t for her. She said: “I turned down the role of Samantha three times, I’d read the book and threw it across the room because I found it so depressing. “Then I was offered the part, read it again, and still didn’t think it was for me, I just didn’t care for the characters.” Kim added: “It was only after numerous meetings that they convinced me Samantha wasn’t a silly two-dimensional character and I finally said yes.”
