Actress Dame Helen Mirren has been named the hottest woman over 50 in a new survey. The 65 year-old came top of the Hotter Than Ever Women Over 50 poll, which was commissioned by online retailer isme.com. Dame Helen beat off competition from model Twiggy, 61, who came in second place, while Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley was in third place. In fourth was the Scottish singer Lulu, 62, while Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall, 54, came fifth. Other stars that featured in the top 20 included Michelle Pfeiffer, Emma Thompson and Lorraine Kelly. Sara Prowse, the brand director at isme.com, said: “Turning 50 shouldn’t have to mean the end of being fashionable and feeling sexy.”
Veteran actress Jane Fonda said sex and good genes are why she looks so good at the age of 73. The star recently revealed the secrets of her appearance while in Nice with her boyfriend Richard Perry. She said to UK newspaper Daily Express: “See these teeth? They cost $55,000. It was teeth or a new car – and I opted for the teeth. That’s what I mean by good genes and money. “It costs a lot to look the way I do, although the genes cost nothing.” She added: “It’s not just the genes, the money and what you eat, though. Sex is pretty important, too.”
Kirstie Alley has told how she used to enjoy two-hour sex romps every day. The former Cheers star said she demanded the sessions from her ex-lovers. Kirstie, 60, said, “I really hadn’t had a boyfriend for the last ten years – a serious boyfriend. It was the best ten years of my life. I had a lot of freedom. “The way I used to pick guys was so shallow. Hot? OK, that’ll be my husband. “Here’s my big revelation. I decided that in the best of times you have two hours of sex a day, so you have 22 hours left.” Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres interrupted her, saying, “Whoa, what? Two hours a day?” The actress, who is currently appearing on America’s Dancing With The Stars, said, “Not enough? “There’s the prelude, the sex and there’s the winding down.” Kirstie has been married twice, most recently to actor Parker Stevenson.
Actress Kim Cattrall has admitted it was difficult to date after writing her sex book. The 54-year-old star got divorced from her third husband Mark Levinson in 2004 and she admitted on the Ellen DeGeneres show that it is hard to date guys. She said: “I’m trying, it’s very difficult.” However the star said it may have been the nature of the book she wrote that put men off. She said: “Writing a book about the female orgasm didn’t help my dating career either.” DeGeneres, 53, said she thought Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm, might have helped her get a date. Cattrall added: “You would think so, but men like to think that they know it all, especially in that department.”
Isla Fisher has hailed Johnny Depp the world’s ‘second’ hottest man after her husband. The 35-year-old actress voiced Lizard Beans in the forthcoming animation Rango, alongside Johnny Depp’s title character. But she reassured husband Sasha Baron Cohen that despite Depp’s good looks, her heart belongs to him. She told Red, “I made it very clear to my husband that I was working with the ‘second’ most beautiful man in the world. “And Johnny’s a mensch (Yiddish for a noble person). He’s the least Hollywood person I’ve ever met.”
British actress Dame Helen Mirren thinks women find Russell Brand appealing because of his ‘genuine interest’ in them. The 65-year-old and Russ, 35, struck up a close friendship filming their upcoming comedy Arthur together. And Helen thinks she knows why the British funnyman is such a hit with the ladies. She told British newspaper The Guardian: “The penny dropped for me fairly recently with Russell. The thing about him is he likes women, and not a lot of men do. That’s why women like him. He’s genuinely interested in us. Women melt in his presence.” Brand ended his famous womanising ways when he began dating singer Katy Perry in 2009, before marrying last October. But hanging out with Russ might make Mirren feel old as she admits she sometimes gets uncomfortable about her age. Helen added: “There’s a scary moment when you realise you’re no longer the youngest person in the room. Especially if you’ve been a successful young person. “That’s followed, of course, by the realisation that you’re actually the oldest person in the room.”

The 24-year-old was alleged to be making over $500,000 from the release of her sex tape after making a deal with porn company Vivid Entertainment.
However, Steve Hirsch from Vivid claims he has not spoken with the star, who has said she is devastated that the tape of her having sex with an ex-boyfriend has come to light.

Venus Williams’s underwear choice has stirred up controversy at the Australian Open.
The usually conservative Williams wore a pair of flesh-coloured boy shorts that drew comments she had pushed the envelope and gone “commando”.
Williams, 29, who is at the Melbourne tournament with her sister Serena, took to Twitter to say,
“I am wearing undershorts the same color as my skin, so it gives the slits in my dress the full effect!”
Some fans had been outraged by the choice. One wrote on Venus’s website: “Please put on some decent panties. I do not watch tennis to see your exposed buttocks!”
Another took the opposite view, writing: “I just love her dress – it has flare (sic) and it has imagination.”
Venus and Serena rightfully see themselves as fashion-setters in women’s tennis, taking great care with each and every outfit.
For Venus, it was all about the slits. She tweeted: “My dress for the Austrailian Open (sic) has been one of my best designs ever! Its all about the slits and V-Neck.”
Kate Beckinsale has confessed that she regularly worries about her looks.
Despite recently being crowned ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ by Esquire US, the actress insisted that she still has just as many physical hang-ups as the next woman.
“I’ve always had doubts about my looks. Most women have body issues and I’m no different,” she said.
In 2004, Beckinsale was rumoured to have had a boob job after being asked to gain 14lbs for her role in The Aviator.
The 26-year-old has now admitted that she let the rumours bother her, telling a UK magazine: “We were suddenly talking about breasts – not brains. At one point, I felt as though everyone was out to get me.
“I was having everything examined from my cellulite to my choice of films. I had allowed my self to be flattered when all this talk of breasts started because I assumed it meant I looked good. But when I found out it meant I had horrible boobs, I was taken aback. I began to wonder why I cared about things which, essentially, don’t matter at all.”
Hollywood actress Eva Mendes has said she once cried before filming a sex scene as she was so nervous.
The 35-year-old admitted that she was upset before filming the scene with Joaquin Phoenix in movie We Own The Night as she was so nervous.
She said to UK magazine Reveal: “He had to kiss my bare breast and put his hand in between my legs. I look as if I’m really into it, but I was crying before it was filmed.
“I was so nervous and became emotional and the director asked me: ‘What can I do?’ I said: ‘There is a little Catholic girl still inside me.’ And he replied: ‘Tell her to go home.’
“He ordered a large vodka and orange and I drank it and got on with the scene. I didn’t hold back. But once it was over, I was thinking: ‘Oh my God! My dad cannot see this movie!”
