Rihanna reminds me of a combo of Mr. T. and Prince. This look does one thing for sure… takes the focus off her hairstyle. Like seriously… who is this girl’s stylist? Here she is covered in necklaces adorned with silver crucifixes, keys, horseshoes and what looks like hands? while having a bite to eat at the Cafe Med at Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood.

She’s been in rehearsals getting ready for her performace at Sunday’s American Music Awards airing @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Kanye West had this to say about her:

“Rihanna had a really breakout year and became the biggest artist. Like, Rihanna sells more records than me all together if you include her in national sales and she is arguably the biggest artist in the world right now.”

Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend Tony Romo have been together for almost a year. He seems to have had quite an impact on her life and her feelings about love. She sat down for an interview with Cosmopolitan for the December issue which hits stands November 11th and talked about their relationship and what he means to her:

“I’d always fall for guys I wanted to save… for the first time, I fell in love with someone who saved me.” Saved her from ….? Why didn’t she explain herself? Why be so vague?!

I hadn’t realized Nick Lachey, Adam Levine from Maroon 5, or John Mayer wanted to be saved… and again I ask myself what she meant? Saved from what? This savior attitude she had going on is probably why those relationships ended.

She went on to say about her future with Tony: “I think any person who I’m gonna date for longer than six months, I definitely am investing in something long-term. If I get married again, then it will be the last time.”

Her marriage to Nick lasted only 3 years, from 2002 to 2005. Is that why she left him… because she couldn’t get the job done? She says Nick:

“will always be a part of my life, but next time, I’m marrying the right one.”

I don’t remember reading anything from Nick on their relationship and marriage breakdown. I wish she would have remained silent about him as well. She seems to have taken one too many digs at him, and it’s uncalled for since he’s been so respectful of her since things ended between them.

Travis Barker just updated his blog to let his fans in on his recovery from the terrifying plane crash he was in last month that left 4 people dead. In addition to the entry below, he has uploaded some pictures from the hospital so you may want to check it out:

” I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has helped deal with the current situation. First and foremost, Chris and Che were my friends. I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy. To call them my employees does them such a disservice, as they were so much more than that. Chris was my best friend before anything else, and I can never put into words how much he will be missed. Che was an amazing person as well, and I was honored to have him in my life.

I am simply amazed and will be forever grateful for all the support everyone has shown to Chris and Che’s families.

Its a testament to how many lives they touched in a positive way.

Hospital Life!

Like the doctors said from the beginning, its been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday. Today I finally was able to move all my fingers on my right hand. Every step seems huge at this point, and Im doing EVERYTHING I can possibly do to get back to my kids. Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, then its all worth it. The staff here are all bomb! Dr. Grossman and his staff are the best. The BOSS Barbara, and nurses Betty, Jay , Emily, Julio, Lolita, and Stephanie (with the best scrubs ever!) are all taking the best care of me… ”

This part which includes a diss about his ex Shannon was in and then edited out but the line remains on Barker’s actual page:

“Despite any rumors you might have heard via my EX-wife Shanna Moakler, who I have not seen since the week I checked in, I’ve been treated amazingly well, both here in LA and an Georgia. The hospitals I’ve been treated at are THE BEST.”

Bruce Springsteen AKA “The Boss” called the Bush presidency “a disaster” and said many American people have “justifiably lost faith” in the American dream.

He took some time out during his seven-song acoustic set at a voter-registration rally in Philadelphia on Saturday to talk about his admiration for Democrat Barack Obama and warned about the difficult job that lies ahead for the next president. Springsteen who is a legendary rock star said that America remains a house of dreams for some, but far too many have given up on the promises of fairness and equality.

He said:

“I’ve spent 35 years writing about America and its people and the meaning of the American promise — a promise handed down right here in this city,” said the New Jersey rocker, whose songs often depict down-on-their-luck, working-class dreamers. “Our everyday citizens … have justifiably lost faith in its meaning.”

The rally was organized a few weeks ago by the Obama campaign. It attracted thousands of people to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. An Obama aide said that Springsteen himself offered to help them out. The Philadelphia event came just days before Monday’s voter registration deadline in Pennsylvania.

“The Boss” also plans to perform at other Obama rallys in Ohio on Sunday and Michigan on Monday. On Oct. 16, he will join Billy Joel at an Obama fundraiser in New York City.

Nicole Scherzinger has finally set the record straight about her age. She is really 30 years old not 28, as is listed on the Pussycat Dolls website. She recently celebrated her 30th birthday which makes her 7 years older than her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton.

Another member of the group Anastacia, has also admitted to being 6 years older than her stage age!

After listening to her hit song “When I Grow Up” who would think she is 30?

I checked out her blog yesterday morning and she had this to say about her experience shooting the TV show:

“2 days left of my shoot on Ugly Betty-I am quite sad to have to leave the wonderful cast and crew behind. It’s always sad to leave people that you get close to… It’s been such a delight to be a part of this show!!-My sister, Aliana, is visiting me on set today and I loooove having her around… she makes me smile, just like another certain someone love you baby xoxo”.

She also ranted at vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin on her blog, calling her a “narrow-minded, media-obsessed homophobe.”

I had a chuckle when she called Palin media-obsessed, she’s a famewh**e herself!

Pete Wentz revealed in an interview he did with Playboy magazine that he and Ashlee are fairly certain they are having a baby boy (not twins as has been the rumour) this fall:

“We know with 90 percent accuracy that it’s a boy and our due date is around Thanksgiving. We don’t have any names yet. My friend Andrew said, ‘Your kid has to have a name that would fit either a rock star or a senator.’”

He also told of his struggle with depression:

“As a kid I always went to therapists; the first time was when my parents were separated on my sixth birthday, then on and off since then. I was diagnosed with ADD.”

Pete also discussed his overdose with his anxiety medication back in February 2005:

“It had more to do with being depressed. I wasn’t thinking of killing myself. I’ve never really called it a suicide attempt. I just wanted my head to be completely turned off. I took a handful of Ativan.”

Pete even talked about his famous sister-in-law, Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend, professional football player Tony Romo:

“I like Tony a lot. He’s a rad dude, and we’re both into Guns n’ Roses. Magazines always like to use pictures of us together: ‘Tony wears Nikes, but Pete’s checking out Balenciaga bags.”

He seems to be very happy, in love, and eagerly waiting the arrival of their new baby. Hopefully the stress of becoming a new father won’t be too much for him and their new marriage. I always wonder why newlyweds get pregnant so soon. Marriage is such a big step why not take some time to really get to know each other and see what it’s like living together before adding a new baby? Oh well… guess they’ll be finding out soon enough… hopefully they are both banking up on their sleep before the baby arrives!

In the BBC special “One Life: Rock Star Parents” Mitch Winehouse confesses to a longtime affair he had with a co-worker and the effect it had on Amy. He told Us Weekly the affair began just after Amy was born and that it was an open secret in their house. “The children used to call Jane ‘Daddy’s work wife,’” he says. Can you imagine?
Amy was 10 years old when her dad left her mum and their family to marry his girlfriend: “There was not really a negative response from Amy, but she definitely became a lot more independent. Perhaps deep down she felt her parents were splitting up, she could not rely on them to stay together and that it was about time she learned to look after herself.”
He went on to add: “It is easy for me to say it is my fault, and that had I been a better parent, this would not have happened,” he says. “But who knows whether it would or not?”

Amy Winehouse who is currently on tour in Europe and managing to actually show up for some concerts as well as some interviews recently made this comment : “I’m a musician, not a model.” She went on to say: “The more insecure I feel, the BIGGER my hair has to be! I tell my hairdresser Tracey Trash, make it bigger! Bigger! Bigger!”

Having a hairdresser with a name like Tracey Trash just seems so purrrrrfect for Amy.

Amy really needs to celebrate her strenthgs, and not obsess on her insecurities. She has been blessed with such a gift, her voice is amazing. Celebrate it, and keep rocking the bee hive chica! It keeps the photogs buzzing!

Sarah Chapman, who is mama #2 of Diddy’s one-year old daughter, spoke out for the first time.

She told Sandra Rose that she and mama #1 Kim Porter met Diddy at the same time, and that Kim knew about her pregnancy before she became pregnant with his twin girls!. Says Sarah about Diddy: “We’ve always been friends. I’ve known him for a long time — 13 years exactly. … It’s never been a situation where I’m trying to step on top of [Kim] or I’m trying to be in her position.”

Porter, recently admitted to Essence magazine that she never spoke with Diddy about the other woman — or baby — in his life. Hmm. Oddness.

Something tells me that if he was just a guy who pumped gas, or was a dish-washer at a restaurant, or a cashier at a grocery store, these two chicas would have used protection. I mean honestly, why else would they make babies with a cheater… unless he’s a ballin’ rockstar?
