Sir Paul McCartney to headline the 2012 London Olympics
Singer Sir Paul McCartney is reportedly set to headline the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony. The 69-year-old former Beatles star has reportedly spoken to bosses of the event and said he’s ‘up for’ a performance at the opening show on July 27. It was hoped that he would reunite with his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr but he is unable to make it as he will be touring in America. A source said to UK Newspaper Daily Mirror: “The hope was to have the cream of British music all in the line up, but it now looks like Macca will be joined by some younger stars on stage. “But of all the people you would want, McCartney is number one. He is the ultimate showman and guaranteed to get the Olympics off to a great start.” It’s claimed the final details and song choices are yet to be decided.

Amy Returns To St. Lucia

Amy and her beehive have left London and gone back to St. Lucia, the sunshine, salty air, and ganja that she loves so well.
Yesterday morning, she left on a jet as she plans on making her next album there as well as purchase a home. Wish I could go there as well. It’s been a long winter.
It’s been long enough that she’s been on vacay, her Back To Black is skipping from me playing it too much.
Britney Getting A Pedi Poolside
Here is Britney poolside at the Mandarin Oriental pool getting a pedicure. She is currently in the midst of her Circus tour but has a few days off relaxing with her children, visiting sick kids in the hospital, and going shopping at the Spanish Mediterranean-styled mall, Merrick Park in Coral Gables.
“Britney looked so fresh and was so nice,” a source at high-end shoe store, Jimmy Choo told PEOPLE:
“She bought shoes, sunglasses and bags and thoroughly enjoyed the shopping experience.”
Another mall retailer said: “Britney looked really relaxed and happy.”
Her tour resumes again tonight where she’ll be performing at Nassau Coliseum in New York before doing two nights in Newark, N.J.
Amy Winehouse Charged With Assault
Amy Winehouse just got back from a relaxing two-month Caribbean vacation and according to police and her rep, was charged with assault Thursday for allegedly attacking a fan at an end-of-summer ball in London last Sept. 26th.
Dancer Sherene Flash had told tabloid newspapers that she was hit in the eye by the much-talked about retro-soul singer after asking to take her picture at the Berkeley Ball, a charity function held in central London’s Berkeley Square.
Amy’s spokesman Chris Goodman said Friday that she went voluntarily to the police station, where she was arrested and charged. Police issued a statement saying she’s been released and is due to appear in court on March 17th.
Amy Living The Good Life In St. Lucia

The Sun is reporting that one of her friends said that she has been smoking up to 10 joints a day and spending about £500-a-week on it.
A source said, :
“Amy hasn’t touched crack or cocaine for months. She has been really good.Drugs are easy to get in St Lucia but she has just stuck to smoking dope. The amazing thing is she smokes all morning then sees her personal trainer in the afternoon and is put through a grueling workout.”
I wonder, would a baked stoner actually participate in a grueling workout? In anycase, looking at this latest picture of her, she’s looking soooo much healthier. Could it be that the ganja is helping her with her appetite? She’s been down there so long, maybe de island life and relaxed living has done the girl some good. Smoking weed seems to agree with her. She’s eating, sleeping, more relaxed, seems more at peace. More power to her!

Paris Hilton is reportedly being paid one million bucks to host a giant rave party on the beach in Australia. Several bands and ten thousand people expected at the event which will be streamed live around the world. Australian tourism is sponsoring the big budget shindig.

Shania Twain’s Mystery Man Revealed
Shania Twain’s mystery man has been identified. His name is Patrick Thiebaud and he is the husband of the woman her ex is alleged to have had an affair with. He was spotted with her out and about in New York, which sparked rumours that she had a new man.
Twain and her husband Robert ‘Mutt’ Lang separated in May after it was revealed that he was very close with their longtime secretary and manager of their Swiss estate Marie-Anne Thiebaud. It seems that the two betrayed exes are helping each other deal with the break ups of their marriages.
The two were seen arriving at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport on Thursday.
Beyoncé Is Bootylicious In Bermuda
Yesterday, Beyoncé wowed her audience with her energetic performance at the Bermuda Music Festival in Hamilton, Bermuda. Today she was snapped by the paparazzi relaxing on the beach. Her body is still bootylicious for her baby Jay Z.
Beyoncé also recently revealed that she’s more than 70 songs for hew next album, which is set for release on November 18. Not sure how many of them will make the cut, we’ll have to wait and see.

Hilary and pro-hockey-player boyfriend Mike Comrie had a fun weekend at a pal’s house in Malibu, California this weekend celebrating American Labor Day. Pink was also at the same shindig.
I love her purple suede Valentino “Maison Studded” Bag. The same soft amethyst leather version has been carried around by Nicky Hilton and on Gossip Girl’s Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen). I also loved her Prada Fairy Bag as well. She is a girl with the same fashion style as me!
Hilary doesn’t seem too bothered by the fact that last Thursday her dad was to spend 10 days in jail for violating an injunction against selling assets without court approval.
