Julia Roberts earned $3 million for six minutes’ work in Valentines Day

Julia Roberts earned a staggering $3 million for roughly six minutes’ work in the new film Valentines Day, according to reports.

A source claims that New Line Cinema paid Roberts the sum up front against three per cent of the gross for her cameo role.

They say that equals out to astonishing $8,333 per second of screen time and $500,000 a minute. She gets $11,952 per spoken word.

The film was directed by Pretty Woman filmmaker Garry Marshall, who used Roberts as a muse in that film, as well as for 1999′s Runaway Bride.

According to movie insiders, Roberts appeared in the film as a favour to Marshall, who made her a star in Pretty Woman.
