Supposedly the talent scout has been negotiating and pleading with the executives at Fox and has actually managed to convince them to give Cheryl Cole another chance. This is what a source said on the matter: ”This is the biggest surprise of the lot – Cheryl is back. Who could possibly have predicted this – it appeared that Simon had dumped Cheryl for good? But behind the scenes Simon has been wooing Cheryl. And key executives at Fox all realized they had made a big mistake. They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realized that she could be a huge star over there.” So in the end, everybody wins… especially Simon Cowell. But if Cheryl Cole is coming back to the show as a judge, what will happen to poor Nicole Scherzinger?
There might still be memory of the very long list of potential US X Factor judges that Simon Cowell had drafted… and of the fact that Jessica Simpson too was on that list. Now that she didn’t get to be a part of the show, it looks like the singer has become pretty sad about the whole thing as a source relates: “She was devastated when she didn’t get hired to be a judge on The X Factor. Though she knows she’s lucky her clothing line is so successful, she felt like The X Factor was her last chance in terms of her showbiz career.” Oh well, at least Jessica Simpson will always have the music… but what is that worth if she doesn’t get to flaunt her skills on shows?
Naomi Campbell has been touted as a possible replacement for Cheryl Cole on the UK X-Factor. Show bosses are said to be hoping to introduce the supermodel and a new male celebrity as members of the panel when Cole and Simon Cowell head to the US. According to The Mail On Sunday, Campbell – whose album Baby Woman reached number 75 in 1994 — has been chosen because of her celebrity lifestyle. Commenting on the reports, an X Factor spokesperson stated: “No decisions have been made at this stage.”

While her performance at this past weekend’s X Factor finale was awesome, Christina Aguilera reportedly acted like a huge diva on the set of the reality TV talent show when she refused to speak to contestant Rebecca Ferguson, who was her duet partner. An eyewitness who saw the 29-year old pop singer’s behavior said “Christina was being a diva. She folded her arms on stage, didn’t talk to Rebecca and then walked straight off afterwards.” The source said that she didn’t even acknowledge Rebecca and stomped off to her dressing room after rehearsal. With less than stellar album and movie ticket sales, I really don’t think she should be acting like she rules the world.

Sharon Osbourne has admitted she used to be a school bully. The former X-Factor host confessed she would pick on other pupils because she felt insecure. “I was a bullier because I was so big,” she said during her US TV show The Talk. “I felt insecure to all the other perfect girls, so I was at them before they started at me, as a defence.” Sharon’s confession comes just weeks after Dannii Minogue released her autobiography and accused the outspoken redhead of verbally ‘attacking’ her. The Australian TV star said Osbourne reduced her to tears backstage at the X-Factor and regularly insulted her appearance.

It seems that the singer’s little X Factor protégé, Cher Lloyd, is getting a bit ahead of herself as she recently barged into Cheryl Cole’s dressing room to complain about her wardrobe… and it all happened in front of Joe McElderry. This is what a source related about the event: “Joe was stunned by it all. He was in Cheryl’s dressing room when Cher barged in. She was in a right strop. Joe said he couldn’t believe how this girl talked to Cheryl and the lack of respect.” It seems that Cheryl Cole’s mentorship abilities aren’t really at their peak… either that, or she has a poor choice of protégés. In any case, she’d best get rid of Cher Lloyd quick before something unexpected happens.
